How many of you out there check out your registries online (if you have that option)???
Kitchen Stuff Plus actually sends me emails when the registry is "updated" ie. I get an email saying "this was bought for you". It's exciting to get the email, but I'm wondering if this will make opening the gifts at the shower less exciting? It will be funny to find out who gave what I already know I'm getting I guess... someone bought something the day after the invites went out! (a friend at work creeped my registry and spilled the beans) It will be funny to see who the eager beaver is

Am I only hurting myself here? Should I call Kitchen Stuff Plus and ask them to stop updating me? I also checked my Bay registry today.... I'm out of control.
I do it once a week! I find it exciting, and then trying to guess who would have bought which item for you... Glad I'm not the only one I kinda felt like a nerd!

My sister got mad at me for it... I went home and told FH "someone bought us our pots and pans!!!!" (we had to change them because the Paderno ones we picked sold out and weren't being ordered... went with a Henckels set which we thought were a little pricey) We were shocked and then my sister yelled at us "I bought them... you're an [censored]hole" hahaha... she didn't have to TELL us it was her.. she'll understand one day

I do it every weekend lol. Less than two months to the wedding, I'm kinda wondering how last minute our guests are. 3 gifts have already been bought for us

I did it a lot but we only got about 4 items off our registry so there wasn't a ton of excitement going around...
Everyone who knows me was like "PFFT, YOU DON'T REALLY WANT A CHINA PATTERN DO YOU?" Um..well yes. I did. I don't understand why everyone was so shocked.
I'm glad we got a lot of cash though, because I'm just going to turn right around and get the china/other things on the registry that yes, we actually DID want.

Absolutely. It was still a surprise (even though I hate surprises) when I opened the gifts at showers since I didn't know who they were coming from

I'm registered at The Bay, and someone bought me a set of wine glasses. No idea who it is, because I haven't received an email yet. Apparently, The Bay doesn't either, after I called them!

This is odd for me.
I am the worst snooper at christmas, to the point where things can't even be hid in the same house (lol) Because of this I thought I'd be snooping at least once a week. I haven't peeked once. I guess I'm all about the hunt. But once i know the suspense is over.

I haven't peaked. I LOVE surprises. I just got a call from the Bay to say we have a gift to pick up and I was tempted, but I resisted. I will find out when I pick it up.

The funny thing is, even if you don't peek, it's not like you don't have an idea of what you may be getting... you picked out the stuff!! Haha.. registries are a funny thing...

oh, I used to love creeping my registry. Actually, I creep lots of my friend's baby registries too. My only regret about creeping my bridal registry was that it made it a bit too easy to predict when my surprise shower was coming up from people's buying patterns.

I can't stay out of mine lol. I'm usually HUGE for wanting to be surprised with gifts - I don't even shake the box - but where we know what the stuff is it feels different somehow.

Before this post I didn't even think about it, but I snooped and I don't know if I'll be able to stop! I didn't think anyone would have purchased things so early, but a few items have already been bought and the wedding's not til August! Woohoo!

I check every day and I don't feel guilty, because checking as often as I do helped me avert disaster with my Sears registry. Something was bought, then it went back on, then it happened again and I found out that the item was discontinued and the orderers was never told. By creeping the registry, I was able to see it go off and then go on, also by checking that often I had a idea because of time-frame who had bought them and was able to contact them. Besides, you don't know *who* bought you what, just that they were bought. Honestly, I advise checking it regularly, just so you can keep on top of any problems.

Ours should get more action this weekend since my shower is next week and the wedding's the week after that... So we'll see

I'm surprised about all the last minute shoppers among our friends and family... Unless of course they're giving us money... Which is greatly appreciated as well!

I will admit to it as well, and I got all excited last week when the first item was purchased! And just now, I got a phone call from the Bay saying that I had a gift ready for pick-up... my wedding isn't for 2 months still! Crazy, but I guess for people who shop early and don't want to haul the item around, that makes sense. So now my question is, do I send a thank you card now or wait until after the wedding?

I started and now I can't stop!!!! I need an intervention.
So i have my shower this weekend and stuff is starting to fly off my registry. I thought I had to much on there but I may have to register for more!!! I felt guilty putting some of the higher price items on there but they seem to be the first to go! FH is now getting into it as well he keeps asking me what were getting!

I started this week because my shower's in a month. I'm creeping mostly because I'm afraid that we don't have enough stuff on there and will have to add some items after the shower but really don't know what else to add.
OT: Our first item was bought on the registry this week. Makes all this seems so much more real.
