Chateau Laurier VS NAC

Hi Guys,

Have you ever had or been to a wedding at the Chateau Laurier (Laurier or Drawing Room) or at the NAC (Foundtaion Room)?
My fianc and I are trying to decide between the two and could use your helpful insite!

I have only been to the Chateau Laurier for a wedding not sure if it was the drawing room but the wedding was outside on the patio and the reception in a ballroom that was next to the patio. I loved it! The only complaint was that cocktail hour was in the hallway outside the ballroom (this was during the summer) and it was very hot and crowded...the AC wasnt that great but overall I think everyone liked it..

The patio was good because it was another spot where people could mingle or get some air for the night.

A friend of mine got married at the Chateau Laurier and it was BEAUTIFUL but they were pretty difficult to deal with once the money was put down and lots of restrictions. She was also one of 4 brides there that night. Don't know about NAC - but you can't go wrong with either of those options, both are beautiful venues.

Haven't had a wedding at either, but have planned meetings at both locations. The service at the Chateau Laurier is generally better (both pre and at the event) - I've never had any complaints/worries with meetings at the Chateau (and I've had to make some strange requests). The NAC has good service, but I find it very hands-off and not as attentive.

Just one thought - the fountain room is nice - but it has a weird layout - depending on the number of people at your wedding it could be awkward.
