futo - did you know the person that held the Stevie??

...I have a serious love for Matt & Nat bags, and when I see one in person I get really excited (and sometimes wonder if the holder of the bag thinks I'm wacko).

It was actually another WBer that I met for coffee. If she's reading this, she might think I'm a little crazy. I stopped short of grabbing the bag and ransacking it though - I was on my best behaviour!

I don't think you are crazy! The bag is pretty exciting after all.

Okay, I need you all to stop placing orders. I plan on ordering a second one, and I don't want to have to wait 10 days for her to get through all your orders first.

irishgrl..your best bet is to send her a message telling her what you want. Then she will create a listing in etsy for you.

Aren't all the extra features also written in the description of each bag? And I know a few of the other ones are also on the Etsy page marked as a customization.

But yeah, I found it confusing too!!

You can click on the model of bag that you want, and then once you order, there is a section for a Note to Seller. That's where you put the chosen fabric, inner lining color, number of pockets, magnet or zipper, 1 or 2 straps. If you want add-ons, you purchase those separately .

You can also find your own fabric and she will make your bag for you in that pattern as long as she can get the fabric.
That take a little longer though.

Ok 3rd question is how do you narrow down the fabric! Man there are a lot of really funky and nice ones I want!!! Anyone else digging that red rocky/punky one with the white skull type thing on it??!! So many nice ones.

I loved the skull one but it wasn't appropriate for me so I got pink flowers. Haha
It's hard picking a fabric, you just have to narrow it down to a few you're attracted to. I think it helps to see a bag in that pattern. You can also look at all her bags on her flickr account

Yup, here is a link to some of her sewing projects:
sewing projects

I actually have a Word document where I list all the fabrics I like (along with an example of a finished sewing project, if one exists) to choose my next bag. But I think after seeing her new fabrics, I fell in love with one of them and that will be that! My only question now is which bag!

For my first one, although I considered a couple, I knew I really wanted Watercolor Posies, and it's a good thing I ordered when I did because the fabric is now out of stock:

Skulls fabric is not exactly for my style

BTW, how many people bought/will buy coordinating Kirby Wristlets to go with their bags? I'm considering this for my next purchase, but wonder if it's excessive. My wallet is probably too big to actually fit in the Kirby, anyway...

cypra - I thought about it, mostly because I want to order more things from her!

I do carry a wristlet in my purse now that has all of my "drugstore stuff" (nail file, hand cream, bobby pins, etc.) and how cute would it be to have one that coordinates? I wouldn't put my wallet in it though.

But I've talked myself down from the ledge... I've decided that I will wait for my bag to come in before I order anything else (I also want a SLR strap, a Guitar Hero strap for my husband and my friend, etc.)

I am probably going to get one, but I'm not sure I'll coordinate with my purse/bag or not.

I figure I'll use it with my diaper bag in addition to using it with the purse/bag.

I got a Kirby but in a different fabric from my bag. I loved so many of the fabrics that I chose favourites for my bag, wristlet and lunch bag. They all coordinate though. If I get another, I'll probably get a different coordinating fabric too. (Mine all have hot pink in common).

Okay, I've been stalking this post (as well as both BB and Misc Etsy threads) for a while now. I've been lusting after an Obleek bag for a while and DH just told me today he's going to get me one!

I'm going to get the large Abby to use as a diaper bag but I'm looking for an opinion of the fabric choice. I want something fairly neutral so I can carry it no matter what I'm wearing. I think I have it narrowed down to the Antique Damask on Black:

With a lime green interior.

Do you think that the Abby will look good in this fabric? Or will it seem too "busy". *Sigh* I've been wanting one for so long that I thought I had decided on what I wanted. Now that I can actually order one I'm second guessing all my choices. *L*

(BTW: Whatever I choose, I'm going to get a matching clutch to go with! )

I've been stalking this post all week and I finally ordered my bag(s) today! I got the regular Abby in Sophistica to double as a purse/diaper bag and a matching wristlet with hot pink lining. My first 2 fabric choices are no longer available unfortunately

Personally, I think it will look great! I hadn't even seen Black Damask as a fabric choice (only brown and Antique Brown). Anxious to see the final product!

I do too. I would use the black kiwi for the outer part and a lining in green kiwi (just like in her photos). That's if I hadn't fallen in love with her new Earth Flowers on Black.. yup too much to choose from .

Look what you guys have done to me! I've never even ventured on Etsy before but I just ordered 2 camera straps from Obleek! One I'll keep for a christmas gift (my first christmas gift purchase too!) for a friend who just got her SLR. I went with these patterns;

I added in the pockets for the lens cap and with everything, it was still only $50!! whooohooo

Have you gone on the etsy Obleek website? All the prices for all her bags are posted. For bags/diaper bags, prices range between 30-50$ unless you want a ''large'' size bag, then they can go to 70$.

Yes, she will send you an invoice in cdn funds. She said it doesn't really matter; if you do it the regular Paypal way, she would just reimburse you the difference.

I agree, Michelle, you are a hot mama! Not sure I'll be posting a photo of myself with my own Watercolor Posies Gracie .
