DH has decided that, yes, he would eat sh!t for a million dollars.

I say NO F*#%ING WAY!!!

Just curious...

(how's that for a question that has probably never been asked on here before?! LOL)

As disgusting as it would be, of course! It's a million dollars!

I wouldn't be relieving those moment as I purchased a fully furnished home, padded my retirement fund and went on a few trips.

I don't for one believe that someone who was staring 1 million dollars in cash in front of them would not do it.

Yes. Absolutely. Unless the amount were obscene. But I'm assuming that you meant, well, average for one 'sitting', which wouldn't bother me in the slightest, given the reward.

Seriously?!? I can't believe there are so many yes answers already! I once had to, for lack of better explanation, "cut a log in 1/2 so it'd go down the toilet" (it was my FOUR year old's too!) and I barfed so much just doing that! (mind you, I was pregnant at the time, but still!)

Not a chance. Sorry. 1) a million is just not that much money these days it really isn't. Not like I can retire on that.

2) that is so incredibly unhygenic.

3) I would never go on Amazing Race or Survivor anything like that with disgusting food challenges because I have enough issues eating as it is.

I am surprised too there are so many takers

I posed this question to FW as a matter of interest, and she said she wouldn't, though she'd probably regret it afterwards. And for her, it was less a matter of it being gross or unhygienic, and more just the fact that it's completely undignified and not something she would stoop to for what would likely be the entertainment of others.

My education tells me that (depending on the source) it is likely to be just fine for human health... I can get over the gross-factor (yes, it would be disgusting) if the end result justifies it to me... And the matter of dignity is one I see as fleeting rather than permanent.

I'm also aware that I'm more likely than some just on accounts of being male. Something about all that testosterone... Probably fries my brain from time to time.

Hmmm... I immediately thought NO for only a million, but we'd pay off our house, save tons for retirement, have lots of monthly disposable income to work with moving forward... so I might.

Beaker - it may be fleeting to you but in my eyes "you" (not you specifically) would always be a sh!t eater!

But not necessarily always a millionaire! That, plus the disgustingness, is why I'd never, NEVER do it.

We've asked this question of people before (usually there are a few adult beverages involved

and it still always suprises me how many people say yes! And, as someone else mentioned, a million dollars isn't what it used to be...

Bellasposa, even if you could only do one of the things I listed, so what? It is still a million dollars and although it isn't the same as it used to be, it certainly isn't ten dollars.

I wonder how much money people make that they scoff at a million dollars like it's nothing.

This is all hypothetical of course so people can say they wouldn't but and I still don't believe anyone would actually turn down a cool million to avoid some discomfort.
