I feel like a bad mom when my mom friends say things like "I could just sit on the floor all day with him" and I think -"omg I would go insane".

Confession: I've been begging my parents to move here (12 hours away from my hometown), and I think they're finally ok with being here 50% of the time. We've been looking at getting 40 acres, build a house, and then put a 2-3 bedroom suite ontop of a 4-5 car garage for my parents (they would be far enough away that either of us could walk around the house naked without them seeing). The problem is, if we don't buy DH's shop, we might move to buy a different shop with the same company.

ETA: as a total aside, doesn't that sound like a great way to live, the acreage would be within quading distance to my IL's so the kids would be around family all the time, and we have a great network of friends that we consider family within a 10K distance to where we are looking, which isn't far in country talk.

melmo: It's been a dream of ours, the kids will go to DH's old elementary/jr. high school, and then the highschool we both went to. We'd have a big garden in the backyard, a chicken coop, and quads, and other fun things ti rip around on. DH's best friend's family all lives around there too, and they are kind of like the kid's cousins, so his niece is DD's best friend, his older niece's are the babysitters, the kids (and adults) get along awesome. We'll actually be out at one of their houses on good friday making pysanka's, the kids will do an easter egg hunt, and then we all take turns on the argo going through the mud. We also go camping May long with their whole family, it's a great group of friends.

I am a stay at home mom of a 12 year old. Which means I stay home alone all day everyday. I know to some people this sounds like a dream but I am so bored and have no idea what do with all my free time. I am off work due to depression, anxiety and PTSD and going back to work isn't an option for me.

We are having a couple over for dinner tomorrow night and I secretly don't want to. Ugh. Sometimes I think social obligations suck.

For example: "we invited you for dinner so now you invite us".

I didn't have to go to your house for dinner, actually I would have enjoyed staying home as well.

I knew every.single. Word to Bohemian Rhapsody when I was young. I would sing it at the top of my lungs at the most Inpportune times (grocery store belting out "I'M JUST A POOR BOY, NOBODY LOVES ME". My mom was MORTIFIED!

I hate my mailman. Every time he delivers something he has to make a comment. Today it was "you're my best client on the street". Last week it was "you order a lot of stuff. Are you expecting more?" or comments about where my parcels come from. Just give me the paper to sign. #firstworldproblems

Aww... I'm loving the O-town love smile One of these days I really will get back there for another visit... and maybe even without DH so I can go do girlie things all weekend (and right now I have a voice in my head saying "Girlie? You? You're planning on having a personality transplant before that trip, then?" *laugh*)

Also... melmo... (Re: Jesus in the closet) I thought everyone knew by now he's hiding behind the couch!

And... I think I might have a bit of a crush on Bleuberry.

And... I kind of want a fancy-dancy anniversary band for our 10th next year, but at the same time, I don't want to 'overwhelm' my current set. Plus, I'd rather have a trip tongueold

Confession - You know those towers that have blinking lights on them? I can see 2 of them from my balcony. Last week we were outside and I could see them and it *finally* occurred to me (at 32 years old) that they actually serve a purpose and that purpose isn't just a place to hang blinking lights.

Yes, that right, I thought the purpose of those towers was to just have lights on them. (So planes would know not to fly close to the ground). It didn't occur to me that the towers were there for a reason (radio towers, cell towers, etc), and the lights were just warning lights.

Of course I made this observation out loud and FH won't let me forget it! Sometimes I truly wonder how I made it this far in life (and was able to get the good grades that I did), because I sure have some dumb moments.

the job is not the one I thought I wanted. however, the place I thought I wanted to work at could not get their act together. they were supposed to opening April 1st; and now they don't know when they are opening. they are having trouble with the gov't funding. I'm not so sure I want to work somewhere so disorganized.

the job I took is actually the other one I made a post about. after having a good discussion with the director I think it will be a good job. I get sick days and a pension plan which I don't get now. my kids both get a spot in the daycare. the vacation thing has been worked out. so I think it'll be good.

Confession: I am willing to admit that I can barely tolerate kids under 2, all of our friends are PG or with newborns. I like their kids in small doses, but to have another child would kill me, we use 2 forms of birth control, an IUD and a vasectomy.
