Confession: I can't stop watching Live Aid videos on youtube. I love this song, and I find Benjamin Orr (rest his soul) so freaking attractive. Even with his dang mullet.

THANK you Bleuberry. I'm off to bed, and I could sit with your for hours and talk about your work and your faith, I'm just fascinated. I am envious that you work with an organisation that is faith based. I am assuming (and I might be so wrong!) that doing so makes your life full, round, meaningful, in a way that mine is not.

Confession: I'm spiritually lost. I tried, oh man I tried, to believe in something. I attended a church (walked into one, right off the street, having been brought up in a family that is critical of, if not downright prejudiced towards, religions of all kind) for a year. I had a brief time of exhilaration, and I felt moved and changed. Then it all crumbled, about a year ago this month. I don't believe in what the church was telling me, and I was so so so confused. I've read and read and read over the past year about how different denominations treat belief in very different ways - from metaphorical to literal - and I am almost at a point where I think I might be able to go again...but it was such a mindfrak, being so close to some kind of life of faith and then losing it, that I don't know if I want to do that again.

All that to say: I envy you.

It's confusing to an outsider! My missal helps thankfully. Coming from a background where church was something you sat through and observed instead of a mass where you are an active participant took some getting used to. I really enjoy the way you are made to feel like a participant and part of the "family" by going through the ritual/traditions together.

Mass can be really beautiful.

Confession:

I am an extremely jealous (read:insecure) person when it comes to FH and I have to really dig deep and work SUPER hard to not let that come through in our day to day life.

I am successful at controlling it 98.5% of the time. The other 1.5% of the time, it slips out but ends up being more funny to him than annoying.

Confession: I read the first 10 pages of the 19 since I was last here, and then skipped the other 9... and other than Bleuberry making me blush, and laughing at the drunk posting and autocorrecting, all I've got to add is:

I've never had a hangover.

Been drunk... hells yes. But I always wake up the next day super-perky, bright-eyed & bushy-tailed so to speak (which is both annoying and scary... even to me *laugh*)

Oh... and...

I'm wish to gawd people would stop making [censored] jokes about the [censored] ban hammer being dropped for [censored] mentioning [censored] babies in Misc. Sorry... gets me riled. tongueold And there probably should've been a bit less fornication in that rant. Or maybe more. I can't decide.

[/quote] But DH is aware I have itchy feet...our pattern is a big move every three years (after university in Waterloo we spent 3 years in Vancouver, 3 in Oz and we've been home for 2) [/quote]

I have itchy feet too. So far we've moved to Vancouver, done short stint in Tampa (would move to FL in a heartbeat), Bahamas, and now we're in Halifax.

DH had job offer to Perth but turned it down to take the Bahamian job...in hindsight, I think we should have went to Austrailia.

Confession: I let things bother me too much sometimes. Someone told on me at work today about something they thought I did (turns out I didn't), it REALLY ticked me off because it got as high as the owner of my branch angry

So as it made its way allll the way up to my main boss, tons of other people heard. I feel like a loser, because like most people you hear something and it becomes true in their mind, I'm certain those people think differently of me now.

I'm SO angry at that person in my office, I'm seriously debating making a dartboard with her face on it. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

IMO, because she has no business and is jealous of anybody who is successful. I'm positive THIS is why she has no business, she shows her true colours way too often and nobody wants to deal with her.

I feel better now though, as soon as I typed this out I received a request for new business I've been waiting on for months. Still debating that dartboard though.

I am super happy because it's official - DH got a new job!! He left a job 1 1/2 years ago to just "get out" of a crappy environment. It was less money and he tried to like it but he just didn't.

So he found a job making more than the original job he left AND it's what he loves doing!! So excited for him!!

Although that means I don't get to join him in Vegas (work trip) in August but.....that's okay! smile

I will be confronting her, unfortunately it'll probably be a phone call though as I never see her, and I don't want to wait too long or it won't be relevant anymore.

Not gonna lie - I read pages 1-3 and jumped right to 47...although I am tempted to go back and read every page. hmm.

Confession - my parents got divorced about a year ago and my mom has been seeing someone 'new'. For various reasons, I don't like him (although I have never met him). I dropped by my mom's place to pick something up and HE was there sitting on the couch. I totally saw him and pretended he wasn't there.

COnfession: I'm starting to not like the girl I work with. I got to listen to her complain about being over-worked today, yet she had time to gab with her friend for like an hour. Then she tells our boss that they are the only two people working hard in our office. Oh really you had three jobs to do, two of which would have taken me half a day, you had two and a half days to do it, I had about a dozen things and still finished ahead of you angry

Off to play drawsomething to get rid of my work rage.
