I bought Flakies today. I don't think I've had them in 10 years, but I just HAD to have them today. They are just as bad for you and delicious as I remember.

Okay, that's more of a vent than a confession.

My confession: there are times when I really hate what I do, but I don't want to give up the money I make.

My favorite indulgence at DQ is to get the peanut buster parfait, and add cookie dough chunks - SUPER unhealthy, but oh so tasty! My go-to blizzard is mint smartie though.

My DH is allergic to dairy and eggs it drives me crazy. He whines like crazy if DD or I have ice cream so now we only get gelato. I wish I could have a banana split DQ blizzard, but it isn't worth it listening to him whine for hours.

Confession: I have a huge crush on Arnprior, Ontario.

Like big time.

I think it's the most adorable little town ever. I'm sure that if I actually lived there I wouldn't be quite so romantic about it, but my mom's family is from there and I think it's super cute. I love all the super adorable Ottawa Valley accents, and getting fresh maple syrup.

*sigh* Arnprior!

On that note...

Confession: I can spot a truck full of animals on their way to the slaughterhouse a mile away. When I see the trucks I look closely to see if there are animals inside. When there are, I say (usually outloud); "My hope and prayer for you is that your death comes quickly, and without fear, pain, or suffering. I'm so sorry."

PS: Kate - not directed at you. Just reminded me of something I was going to post earlier but had forgotten about. smile

Confession: I just had to scroll through all the stuff about the animals (too upsetting to read), but I still eat meat.

I feel pretty guilty about it most times, but basically stick my head in the sand and pretend that it wasn't ever an animal.

I'm horrible, I know!

I want to be a SAHM when lil man starts school. I want to be able to be teachers helper and be there to get him on and off the bus and help with his homework in the afternoons and do projects with him.
DH and I are working hard at making that come true in a few years.

I would really love to start my own business, and be able to work from home, but I:
a) don't know what it would be,
b) am afraid to leave my relatively secure, decently paying gov't job
c) am worried that it wouldn't be successful and then I'd have to find another job.

So lately DH is complaining that he's gained weight. He's still very much in shape just not as skinny as he was when we met (he is a cyclist but hasn't been riding indoors much this winter as in the past).

The thing is - I LIKE the roughly 10-15 pounds he's put on.....and wish he'd keep it but I know he won't. As the weather gets nicer he'll be h&ll bent on working it off!! frown

I wish dh would lose 30lbs. I wish he would care. he's been told he has high cholesterol especially for his age. but he won't exercise, he won't stop eating junk; and God forbid we should have a vegetarian meal.

also, he's lactose intolerant and half the meals I find that are meatless call for cheese. cheese is also high in cholesterol.

Confession: the college that I work at is probably cutting all their second year programs next year. As much as I care for my co-workers, but I'm mostly worried if I will still have a job next year. I feel like they have more contacts in town for other employment compared to me. I feel really bad about it, yet I'm still mostly concerned for myself since I make more than my SO and we rely on my income. Also, I'm the only one with benefits.

This really makes me feel guilty even to write it out.

I feel ashamed of what the executives of the college are doing right now. I think it's a real slap in the face to our program.

Speaking of my my McDonalds addiction, I feed my boys lunch and then pack them into the car to go get McDs(or other fast food) for lunch for myself. Then I come home, put the boys down for naps and eat in quiet.
