Anyone noticeNew Users that "post" like Old Users

Okay, I have to say, I hate this whole "non baiting" title post rule, it makes it really hard to make a title without enough space.............. it's not like I'm posting a pic of spiders or poo etc. tongue

Is it just me, or is there an influx of "new" posters that have popped up since a couple of weeks ago???
I am noticing here and there, that there are new and or newish (people some using alterego usernames that they made earlier or new ones).
These users are posting like pros (so not newbie-like at all).
Anyone else notice?
These have to be the peeps who left and have come back under a new name to be more anonymous I guess.... whistleold

Yup. A lot of people were not comfortable with the recent "public" changes so rather than delete posts, they deleted their accounts and started over.

Sad thing is trying to figure out who is who again... I barely could keep people straight in the first place!

Yep! I'm one of them, although I did delete and get a new name before the whole CF changeover because I wanted to be more anonomous. I guess it just happened around the same time that other people decided to do the same thing.

I should add I was not a super active poster before. But being anonomous has helped me feel more comfortable posting more often.

I am an old user with a new account. The CF issue had absolutely nothing to do with it. I'd emailed the wb email account a few times over the past year about getting my account deleted, they never responded. I finally emailed Ruth, she deleted my account in 20 minutes.

I did this for privacy reasons. Telling SOME people who I am on here was about the same as giving out my pin number. I feel a whole lot safer here, now.

bye I deleted my old account and I am using my TTC account for now. Not sure yet if I'll reactivate my old username yet.

For now, I guess I am 'undercover', but I'm no one to get excited about teeth

i'm using the same name.

i had waaaay too much stuff out there, so i decided it was a perfect opportunity to keep my name but get rid of my posts.

i'm sad that i have a recent registration date, but that's ok. (i originally signed up aug 30th, 2004)

I noticed it as well and am totally curious who these 'new' people are!

I tend not to post pics or really personal details, so I feel like my account is pretty safe. That said, it would be fun to come up with a whole new online personality!

Yes, it's annoying. Totally agree with deleting all your posts (I need to do it again soon) but keep your name, avatar or tickers to help us out!

I had been planning to delete my account and start fresh with the same user name at 10k posts. When the mass profile deletions were offered and I was at 9800, I figured why not and had it deleted.

I had planned on using my old user name again but now with CanFam posting forum links on FB/Twitter, I probably I won't bother.

This is my third username in 6 years. The CF changeover didn't trigger it - it was more a privacy thing. I've never been an overly active or popular poster wink

I did! I would have activated my old username but it was pretty generic and hard to tell apart from all the other "Baby Names: out there.

I'm a horrible forum sleuth so I will never figure out who left and who is back.

I have considered deleting my profile because I've shared some fairly personal information on here...but I highly doubt I will. I can't even think of a name I would use in place of GreycieBoo...so there you have it smile

Whoa, hate? I'm curious what this person did to cause such a strong feeling from you.

Looking at the posters in here I see just how many of us new/old people there are. I'm certainly intrigued at the idea of perhaps knowing some of you.

I knew I'd be back with the same name but due to privacy reasons decided to delete my old account.

I had over 6000 posts and now I'm back at square one tongueold

I want to delete my account and start over but I confess I like my post count too. I guess I could go through every single post and edit out details I don't want there but that seems like way too much work. Besides, I figure would those old posts be linked on FB/Twitter? Likely not. Still deciding on this one.

I deleted and started over as well, but because of a stalker situation. It just happened to be around the time of CF happening.

But no worries, I am also nobody to get excited about. rofl
