I've heard Calgary is getting a team.

Just want I want to do...sit in an arena watching horny men get their freak on watching women running around in their underoos.

Why can't the men play that way? I might actually watch football then. tongueold

The worst part is that women's football is just finally starting to catch on and I worry that this is going to kill a lot of the support (through confusion alone) in female athletes playing football.

Don't get me wrong, the real football players can be super sexy and hot, too (I'm sure they are), it's just that they also get to really play football because they have enough protective equipment to be able to really play and do it safely, unlike these LFL ladies.

I hope the real athletes don't have to spend all their time dealing with people who think they're just lingerie models (or being disappointed because they wanted to watch that instead of real women's football).

I thought we already had this? Isn't this the league that Rob Ford's niece plays in or something?

It shouldn't be the only way they can play. There is a legit women's football league in the prairies in Canada, and it's relatively difficult to get those sorts of things going here (because of the distance between major centres). There should definitely be legit women's football leagues in the States, too.

In SK, it has been quite the news item, as laws prevent strip shows and alcohol in the same place, so there was debate whether or not there would be alcohol permitted in the risk that there might be nudity.

Awww...yes. It has already been here. The City of Hamilton lost $100,000 bringing it in.

Yeah Saskatoon is getting a team. A bunch of people fought back saying how sexist it is to have a bunch of women running around almost naked. The head guy said it would be just like watching mens football because their clothing is so tight. I'm pretty sure there isn't a change that their balls might fall out of their clothing though.
