Two things got me thinking 1) the what do you consider fat thread and 2) being at the beach today - do you and your DH / SO match physically? Meaning are you both physically the same (both heavy, both super fit or both average - a bit pudgy but not obese)?
ETA - Heavier probably isn't the right word to use in the poll. By heavier I mean bigger (fatter - but I HATE that word and I'm not trying to be mean or rude or offensive I just can't think of a different way of saying it right now so I apologize).

We're both large, but he is now larger than I am. When we got together, it was the opposite.
I'm heavier now because he has been losing lots of weight, but before we were around the same, though I am trying to reach the same weight as him and surpass that someday!

We are both about the same. He is maybe five pounds heavier and I'm about five to ten pounds lighter than when we met. But both of us are still at very healthy weights, me perhaps more so now as I was at the higher end of the "normal" BMI for my height.

DH is "heavier." He had a knee injury in high school that he had surgery for and has had a hard time coming back from the weight gain from that.
I am what some would call "skinny fat" I am slim but not fit, which I hope to work on soon.
I've always been heavier than him - when we met as teenagers, he was very thin and I was on the high end of a healthy weight.
Pre-pregnancy, we were both overweight and needing to improve our fitness, but to varying degrees. He could stand to lose 10-20lbs and/or muscle up, while I needed to lose more like 40lbs.

I voted that I'm 'heavier' but DH is definitely overweight. He's lucky in that it only goes to his belly and face though, never to his legs or arms or anything, so MOST of him looks quite 'average'.
I'm kinda fat all around.

We are both slender right now.
I will obviously get bigger in the next little while, but for the most part we are pretty much the same.
DH has never been anywhere near an unhealthy BMI. I on the other hand have and I have to work hard to not let myself gain an extra 15-20 pounds more than my healthy weight.

When we met we were both healthy average weight.
I gained weight and he lost muscle( which resulted in him loosing weight). He's now on the thin side and I'm overweight. But I think we still match physically, like I dont think DH looks like a chubby chaser(

for lack of a better term), most people don't believe me when I tell them how much I weight because I'm so tall.

DH and I are both tall and overweight. At this point we're pretty similar in build which makes me cringe. I'm pretty sure he weighs more than I do but unfortunately it's not a whole lot more. I'm working on losing some and getting healthy. He keeps saying he should exercise/eat better but isn't really that motivated.
When we met 13years ago I had just lost 60lbs and looked pretty good. I haven't always been overweight... but it's a struggle. I'm like a yo-yo - it just keeps coming back... As long as I've known DH he's had a belly on him though at times he's slimmed down considerably.

Technically I weigh more than him but we both are overweight and have similar body types so in that way we do match physically.
We're working hard to change the overweight part so hopefully soon we'll both have the same general appearance but it will be because we'll both be healthy.
And one day I do dream of weighing less than him for the first time ever. Some day!

This is a very interesting post!
We are about the same. Typically DH weighs about 30 lbs more than I do, but we are both relatively fit and healthy looking people. My weight yo-yo's wayyy more than DH's.
I actually just remarked to him this morning that I can tell he always weighs the same because he's been wearing the same work pants for about 7 years (that could be a thread of it's own...). Seriously, they are the same pants and they fit the same.

While he outweighs me by about 50-60 pounds, I'd say we are the same physically. We are both active and at a healthy weight, though I have to work MUCH harder to maintain it (grrrr)
He has always been an average male - the type who never gains weight regardless of what he eats. My weight fluctuates so I'd consider myself larger. That being said, pre-PG we weighed the same, except that I'm 5'2" and he's taller.

I said that I am heavier, because I am proportionally.
I am 5'7 and around 165, while DH is 6'1 and about 190.
DH is a healthy weight for his height, and I'm just tipping into the "overweight" category (according to BMI).
He is, without question, much more in shape than I am though.

My DH is a stick figure. Always has been. Well, he's now a stick figure with a bit more fat on him after he moved in with me and actually started eating (his nutrition before consisted of 2 bowls of cereal a day)
I'm a size 16-18, and considered borderline obese.

DH is a lot heavier than me because a. he is taller and b. he is a man and more "built" I suppose.
Proportionally I would say we are similar but he is a bit larger than me.
We are complete opposites. DH is tall and very slender (his nickname with his pals is scrawny little [censored]) and I've always been huskier albeit now I'm overweight.

We're both overweight (and at this point, probably aren't that far apart in BMI). I'm heavier (without question)... I'm also 4" (at least) taller, have a larger bone frame, and am genetically predisposed to both a very large chest (seriously, I dropped 60 lbs a few years back and didn't drop a single damn cup size... boggles my mind) and to 'bulking'. In no way am I saying that the extra weight I'm carrying is "just un-toned muscle", 'cuz that would be a crock... but even if I got myself down to an average body fat %age, I'd still have big thighs and wide shoulders and the appearance of a lot more bulk than someone with the same %age who was 4" shorter with a narrower frame... like, say, DH.
So, no, I don't think we "match physically". personally. IMO.

When we started dating we matched.
11 years later, I'm the fat one. While hes technically gained weight, he's gone from being skinny to being lean, as in, filled out but no flub. Me, I have a lot of flub.
Ideally one day I'd like to weigh less then him but not if it means he gains more and has to deal with weight issues too.
