EmilyAnna - love them! Such a cute idea!

Here's something I made recently as well... it's an 'adventure book' inspired by the Disney movie "UP"... we are using it to scrapbook our summer smile

I'm stunned with myself - I have made so many cards in the past week or two... I hope I keep up with it! LOL

So in addition to those 6 christmas cards, I made another 10 (same theme), made my sister a get 'whale' soon card (below), BF a celebratory card for our 1 year live-in anniversary (below) and made my friend a very cute card that suits her very well (below).

I also want to make her a set of 6 cards as a gift... so I'll be doing that later this week smile

I need to take pictures - I also need to remember for next year not to make original cards for everyone. This year I just wanted to experiment with everything - and I went a little bonkers with the cards.

Love the inspiration in this thread though!

T&C- your embossing looks so nice. Whenever I do it, it always seems to "melt" together and the letters look smudged. Any tips?

I use a little brush to get rid of the excess embossing powder, that helps a lot.

But I did a card class last week and discovered the 'embossing buddy' it's basically a little sachet of chalk that you rub where you are stamping and it prevents excess embossing powder from sticking to the cardstock. It's genius and on order for me wink

Great cards T&C... it's nice to be on a roll huh?

I think I've done 48 christmas cards in total, but haven't touched my supplies in like 2 weeks. Now I want to make a bunch of birthday cards but I haven't felt inspired or motivated yet lol... love it when I'm on a roll though!

Eek! Second page and no update since September?

OK, ladies, where are those holiday cards? I've got a few to share.

I made the huge mistake of going wild and making each of my 50 cards a different Cheesehound original. That was dumb. Next year I'll pick a design and just replicate it over and over.

Anyway - my pics:

I tried to do some that weren't traditional "Christmas" colours because I have a lot of friends who don't celebrate Christmas in the Christian sense, or at all. Plus, I love playing with the colours so much. The colour schemes might be a tad childish at times - I love primary colours together - but I hope people think they're fun and not cheesy.

I did have a question about the Dasher stamp - does anyone else find they have a problem with that stamp coming off clean? Is there a better ink to use instead of the Stampin' Up! stuff? I find I get maybe one good Dasher in 5-6 tries.

Excellent work ladies! All your cards look amazing!!!

I haven't been around lately and I took a break from card making unintentionally due to vacation, being lazy among other things... but just got back into it and I'm so happy smile

Some of my recent cards:

By the way, my friend loved the 6 cards I made her... I should find some pics... and post them (not sure if I actually took pics of them).

Now I wanna make a couple sets for Christmas gifts for my mom and grandmothers smile.

ETA: I uploaded the 6 cards I gave away

So here's a sample of what I've been working on lately. I've been making cards for all occasions for my mom and her friends (and a few of my friends). I've also been working on Christmas cards, but I haven't taken many pictures of those.
Have recently discovered double sided tape and flocking...sooooo much fun! Happy crafting ladies!

I'll take some pictures this weekend, but I'm just finishing up my Christmas cards. I think they will turn out really nicely. I've also got a baby shower card that I need to finish, and some Christmas cards for DH's work colleages, we hand deliver those ones so they are usually fancy/heavy.

Those ones with the dresser of onesies are cute - are they all one card? (Like, are the letters attached to both cards - making it one card?)

I have been making cards - but I mailed them out before taking photos! I'll work on more in the near future (for Feb. birthdays) so I'll post some then.

Can I add some of my cards?

I have been making cards for some time, usually with stickers. I have just gotten into stamping - and I LOVE IT. Like head over heels love it. It might be considered an illicit affair wink Or an open marriage - my DH is okay with it smile

Sorry if some of you have seen these - they are all on my facebook. Oh, and the Christmas ones are for this coming Christmas - must start early!
