I can barely walk, well I can a bit better now that I have the boot, but I got crutches today to ease the stress on my foot even more.

Alter, I'm seriously jealous that you have such amazing scenery for your runs. I have boring suburban houses to look at. Although there were two ducks sitting in a for sale sign a few blocks away from my house last time out. That was new wink

I finally got into the running, finished week 1, and then nature and a vicious stomach flu bug conspired against me! But, I'm back in this week, although I'm only at week 2. I got that great sports bra (Elomi Energize) which makes a huge difference.

On the positive side, having the stomach flu gave me a 5 pound instant weight loss! LOL. But with sick kids and a sick DH, I wasn't able to get out.

I too have boring residential streets to look at when I run.

I've been MIA, I need to stay in touch with you girls on here so I don't give up on this!

My shoes were those $19 kicks from Walmart, not meant for running, more for looks, type of sneaker. They killed me. My back and knees hurt for days afterward. But I REALLY want to get back into this, I haven't ran in two weeks now, so I might just do whatever I can to keep going. My mom has a pair of shoes I may be able to borrow.

Ok I take it back... 20 minutes doesn't seem that far off.

Today I managed to get 12 minutes straight and stopped only because I didn't want to push too hard (this was part of a full 5K run).

I might try for 15 minutes on Wednesday and see how that goes.

Any of them will do.. I used the "Ease into 5k" program.. a few others are using the "couch25k" one... but it really doesnt matter which one you use, they are all pretty much the same:)
