Ugh. Not a good day. ODS was up 3 times last night so I'm tired. I also woke up with a cold so I feel like crap. Plus I injured my knees so I can't do much of anything (it hurts to walk let alone try to exercise)

Another having a rough day.. YDS is currently working on cutting his top front teeth and OMG..... 3 hours sleep max! The turd. He is happy baby as usual until bedtime then its screamfest. BALLS! So tired this morning and it isnt really getting better...

I did my scale pic, not pretty, and then got side tracked by the kiddos and will have to submit my before pic tonight once husband is home.

Good news the love of my Body By Vi shakes is not waning! Yay. I am still really enjoying them and woke up craving it this morning after Easter break where I had 2 maybe in the 4 days (oops!) Back on track, and am really hoping to be able to muster the energy for a workout tonight, though I may just crash... We'll see. I'd love to be able to do it with the kids around but between the 2 of them it isnt happening. LOL

I find the Google groups confusing to navigate but I am sure it's just a matter of getting used to it. smile

So excited to have some virtual support and some people to be accountable to other than myself!

Lyne I am on there too. I love it so far. It takes a bit to get used to compared to WW. But I can't believe the data base on there. It has a lot of products. I guess I was so used to WW where there are a lot of american products.

Sorry to barge in on this thread!

I use both MFP and WW. I find the MFP database has way more products listed and I can use the nutritional data to figure out my points. I don't track in both, though. Just on WW.

I added those who I didn't already have on MFP.

I think I went too far off over Easter. I'm having a hard time getting back on track. I've decided that in addition to doing the C25K program, I'm going to follow the Body for Life weight training program. It's 6 days a week and looks like this:

Day 1: Upper Body
Day 2: Cardio
Day 3: Lower Body
Day 4: Cardio
Day 5: Upper Body
Day 6: Cardio
Day 7: Rest

I'm going to do Wednesdays as my rest day. Today is Day 1 so I'll be heading to the gym to do an upper body workout. It's pretty intense lifting too. I start out at one weight and do 12 reps, increase weight for 10 reps, increase weight for 8 reps, increase weight for 6 reps, drop weight for 12 reps, change exercise (same muscle) for 12 reps. Then I move on to next muscle. I've done it before and it produces great results.

I'm scared!

Luckily I can do my cardio at home. If I had to do the entire program at the gym right now I don't think I'd be able to complete it. When I did it the first time around I worked at GoodLife so I was already at the gym most days of the week. I just did my workout either before or after my shift. It was easy then when I had no other obligations :-)

Im hoping come the fall once ODD is in pre-k three days a week, Ill be able to take advantage of a few mornings and go do weights. Currently I only use my gym 2x a week for classes, but eventually id like to use it more smile

It's going OK. I went out for dinner with my GF's last night and I'm thinking that I didn't quite track my lamb burger properly but I still had room in my cal count so hopefully that's okay.

Q - For those doing MFP do you try to be under your cal count by a certain amount?

Lyne, I try to be right at my cal count. if you go under by a lot all of hte time, then you are essentially putting yourself in starvation mode. I actually dont worry if I go over by a 100 or so either.. but I certainly do not go under by more than 100 if I can help it. With all of the reading and reasearching I did over the past few weeks about starvation mode, resetting metabolisms and eating way more than I ever thought I should, its been a huge eye opener and its finally paying off on the scale for me too.. because of that, I will now always make sure to eat right at my cal count

The race went really well. It was snowing here in the morning and a little cold, conditions I hadnt run in before. We were pretty excited about it, and waiting anxiously for the 10k runners to take off so we could line up. I did a PB of 39:09, about 2 minutes off my previous times at home, so that was incredibly exciting. I have another race this saturday at another location and Im doing it alone, so Ill get to see how much April pushes me in my pace:)

I have to admit I made it through the toughest parts of the weekend and didn't stray too far from my diet plan. I did have dessert last night that I didn't really account for but I'm heading to the gym with a friend for a couple hours so I'm not too stressed about it.

How was everyone else's weekend?

I had my birthday party last night - I did ok for food but the Bacardi/7-up combo made me go over in calories. Oh well...the party happens once a year. I'm hoping to go for a bike ride later once it warms up a bit.

Last night I had a friend over to watch a movie and I had cut up veggies for a snack, she brought chips and cookies, I ate said chips and cookies. Taking the veggie tray to my parents for dinner tonight ;-). I expect to be down maybe 0.5 lb this Wednesday, hoping for a 1 lb.

I find it hard to say no when people bring snacks to my house, I don't want to be rude...

Not so good over here... Not that I am eating crappy, I'm not but my youngest is NOT sleeping thanks to teeth. I have gotten mayyyybe 8-9 hours of sleep in the last 3 days. OMG... This means I am not exercising. Like at all. I have parked my hiney on the couch and survived. Thats about it.... I am pretty sure the scale will show come Wednesday... EFFF. It feels like such a waste but I am just bone dead tired. Cannot get the energy to even fold my laundry LOL. Uggghhhh

Yeah...this week was a bust! Between not feeling great, planning a party and running around for days, and then having said party. Yeah I've been eating garbage all week! Combined with the fact my knees still hurt so I haven't been doing anything for exercise. So I'm going to start next week.

I was better in that I drank way less pop then normal, and didn't snack at night near as much as before.

I've been doing really well up until dinner tonight. Sunday dinner at my grandparents, we had hamburgers and hotdogs. I only have one hotdog (and salad) so not bad, but then DD didn't finish her plate and I picked at it (AKA ate lots more). Then dessert was one of my favorites, so I indulged. All this and today was my no workout day.

oh well...I'm sure I'll still have a loss for this week.

ie today I'm meatfree. Dinner last night was 2 extra large slices of pissa and I felt it last night so today is lots of water and fruits/veggies.

I just try to get through the day without indulging in any nutritional minefields (i.e., wine, beer, late-night snacks, sugary stuff, etc.).

I do like to have a plan for the day though - I'm on mat leave, and without a plan, I can spend a lot of my day just loafing around, getting nothing accomplished and eating way too much.
