Bebe_Mama-I'm so excited for you! Please post pics of the digging!
Shanabelle-that must be so exciting to see things like countertops being put in. You'll be in there so sooooon!!!
Kimba-I hope you get well soon! I can't get over your mortgage broker. I can see why you're so stressed!
MrsMS-that's so awesome! December 8th will be here before you know it!
forestsmom-we'll have a 10-foot ceiling in the family room. I know that's likely not as high as the ceiling in your place. We are going with an enormous ceiling fan and track lighting.
Chrissy-so happy you have windows!
Darcey- YAY! I'll be about 7 months behind you to Leduc, haha!
Kristin_Chris-we are doing a rich, dark espresso maple cabinetry in our kitchen! Our cabinet supplier told us that maple is what is really being chosen the most often in our area (Edmonton).
AFM, I am going to post all of our selections! Our builder moved up all of our supplier appointments so that they were all in the same week! We wanted to have everything chosen before we leave for Mexico this Friday (yippeee!). So even though we bought less than 2 weeks ago, we have nearly EVERYTHING chosen! There will just be some tiny details to go over once we return on the 15th.
We are going to have a very rustic, warm home with lots of natural stone and wood.
Here is the stone kitchen backsplash we chose:
Our kitchen cabinets and hardware!
The light fixture over the table in this photo is the same one we went with. We also chose the same 3 hanging lights in this picture to hang over our kitchen island. This is just a photo from another showhome we were in months ago-but we loved the lighting in it!
Our birch hardwood flooring in "walnut brown":
Our granite. It will be in the kitchen and all the washrooms:
The carpet for the 2nd floor:
The ceramic tile for the washrooms and laundry room:
The front entryway tile:
The pebble rock we went with as a feature to border around the corner tub jacuzzi in the master ensuite. It will also border the shower in the ensuite:
Here's all of the selections for the master ensuite together (cabinet color, granite countertop, pebble rock feature border, and tile floor). It's going to have a real "spa" feeling to it:
We went with many grays, caramel browns, and bamboo beige-like shades for the paint throughout the home. Here is the color palette:
