 LG dishwasher

We are currently building a house and the builder's model is a piece of junk. We are looking at upgrading to an LG dishwasher because I like the rack layout. Does anyone have one? Do you like it? Does it actually dry your dishes? This seems to be one of the complaints about it.

If anyone else has a dishwasher that they love, feel free to recommend it. I am not 100% sold on the LG yet.

I have an LG, and I love it. It's super quiet (sounds like rain hitting a window), and I also love the flexibility of my racks. It dries my dishes, just not the tupperware, like most dishwashers. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

We have an LG and honestly our 1985 Kitchenaid cleaned dishes better. It really has problems with dried on food, especially avocado, oatmeal and coffee dregs. DH has had a technician in to look at it and he put in a new heater and some electronic parts and it seems to be doing better, but still not as good as I think it should do.

It does dry the dishes except for the occasional piece of tupperware. And it's really quiet but the entire cycle takes 2 hours to complete.

We bought an LG dishwasher and ended up exchanging it a the next day for the KitchenAid. I didn't like the LG because the child safety lock was stupid. When you put it on it locked the settings ONCE the dishwasher was running, but DIDN'T PREVENT the kids from being able to turn it on! Not sure what model it was the the buttons were on the front.

We love the kitchenAid. Love the racks, great cleaning and a safetly lock that is actually useful!

ETA: we also have LG fridge, microwave and range. All of which have safety locks that prevent the elements from being turned on. Don't know what they were thinking in the case of the dishwasher!

We have the LG dishwasher and I really like it. It's does a good job of cleaning and drying, and it's super quite. The only thing, I don't like the layout of how to put dishes. It seems that you can only put bowls here or tall glasses here. There are no other options for them.

I believe this is the one I have:

In my old house I also owned a KitchenAid and it was great too. The features were basically this same, but the buttons were on the front and it was black. Racks were very similar - the new one has some small extra features.

ETA: It is also quiet.

Mom and Dad have one. You can't hear it at all. I don't know what model it is, but it was a high end so you couldn't here anything. Worth every penny in my opinion.
