 Our basement reno

So 1 1/2 years after moving in to our home we finally have the basement done!!! Once we started it all came together fairly quickly. Some of the things that we did were installed a subfloor through out the entire basement (DriCore), Hardwood through out (all free, thanks to IL's), new paint every where and a semi upgrade in bathroom. Things we still have to complete are lighting and the cabinets will be painted out come summer. Sorry for the pic overload and thanks for looking smile

I agree.
Beautiful flooring.

I have never seen the striped floor look before (spare room)
I am intrigued! What was your inspiration for that?

Thanks everyone...it does feel great to have almost completely finished:)

We were initially going to do borders around the room with the dark hardwood just because SFIL(Flooring contrator) has done them before and it looks really interesting. Here is the playroom in his home with the borders:

But in the end it was a lot easier just to do the stripes....LOL. You really kinda need 2 mitre saws to do this(so you don't have to be changing the angles all the time) and DH only had one, so yeah, stripes it was grin

Wow the two colours in the floor is so interesting! I've never seen that before. You must be super happy with the changes... what a difference!

How did you find the DriCore to work with? If we redo our basement flooring I'd really like to put it down. Have you found a big difference in the floor temp?
