Ikea LILLABO Train set - HUGE favor to ask...

I am planning on making DD a train table for her birthday and I have an old coffee table in mind I would like to use - but I want to make sure it is long enough to hold the train set I plan on getting (the Lillabo from IKEA - http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/30064359/). Can someone who owns this set pretty please measure it for me when it is set up as a figure 8. I would be ever so grateful! I am going to go buy it if it isn't too long for the table I plan to use! THANKS so much!!

One thing with that set is that that it is not compatible with the Thomas trains (the tunnel is too low) if that matters to you at all. Sorry I don't have the set here anymore or I would have measured it for you.

The IKEA set IS compatible with Thomas unless you use them under a bridge (for the height) so just don't make that configuration. Otherwise they fit with the Thomas tracks and trains as well as Plan Toys, KidKraft, etc.

Sorry OP, I have the figure 8 and extension but I also have a ton of Thomas ones so I would have no idea of the size and required pieces.

Since no one here seems to have the set, what about calling IKEA and see if they can give you the measurements.

Just put it together to measure for you quickly. Looks like 40 inches long in the figure 8. Might be a bit off though since I had two kids all over me grabbing and playing. I checked the width too, and it's about 17 inches at the widest part of the loop.
