What did your toddler name his/her stuffies/dolls?

DD comes up with the weirdest names for her stuffies, dolls and invisible friends. Her 'friends' are called 'Awdie,' 'Stinton,' Honshin,' 'Hishin,' and 'Hoishun.' One of her dolls is Lucy, but that's only because when we gave her to her for her birthday that's what I told her she was called. Her other dolls have frequently changing names, like 'Oishun' and her stuffed donkey is called 'Stad.'

So...is she just weird, or do your LOs come up with non-traditional names as well? lol

Haha! It's so interesting to see their little minds working. Where do they come up with these names? I guess they're just experimenting with language... DD will also make up names of places, like she'll say "I'm going to Dotch!" She seems to love 'tion' and 'tch' sounds smile

My guy comes up with all sorts of outlandish things (like dijun and ban. Not to mention wook wook and bux).

However he's recently started using names that are familiar (like Mac and Sally). YDS was given a stuffed lamb and when I asked ODS what we should call it, figured it should be named KABOB. hahahaha. Yup, we have a stuffy called lamb kabob.

DD has only just recently started naming a few of her stuffies and toys. So far:

-All teddy bears are called either "Booty" or "Booby" (to my great amusement)

-She has one dinosaur she named "Audie"

-Everything else is given litteral names like "Mr. Penguin", "Baby dino", "Mommy Dino" and "Dolly"

Love the names kids make up!

DD has named her monkey, "Gus", but the others are just the name of the animal/doll.

Us, "DD, what's your baby dolly's name?"
DD: "Baby-dolly"
Us, "Is it a boy or a girl"
DD, looking at us like we're stupid: "It's baby-dolly"

DD has named her dolls "Sarah", "Abbey", "Pheobe" and "Zoe". they are all names of kids or babies she knows (neighbours) or she has met before. It's hard to keep up with them sometimes!

DS has recently started "inventing" names like Antin and Shishaw for his toys. However, one of his favorite teddy bears is affectionately called Silly Monkey - a name DS bestowed upon him by his own choosing when he was 2 years old.

My DDs all have given weird names to some of their toys.

YDD's imaginary friend is Joe-in (phonetically... I don't know how else to spell it)
YDD's baby GIRL cabbage patch is named Boy
Those are the only ones I can think of right now, but there are others!

I wish DD would come up with some cute/funny names for all her stuffies, but she calls them all "baby."
