Baths for kids of different gender

For the moms with kids of different gender:
Do you wash the kids together or separately?
If together, when do you think a good age to separate DD and DS is?

I wash mine together, but they are only 3 and 15 months old. I've been wondering the same thing (when I should separate them).. I would think it would be when they are asking for more privacy in the tub. Maybe 6? 7?

I was actually thinking the same thing last night!! My DS is 3.5 and my DD is almost 2. They LOVE having baths together so I will keep bathing them together until one of them asks for privacy. I have no idea how old that would be though lol!

A friend has a 4yo DS and a 2yo DD, and she stopped bathing them together a few months ago when the DD started yanking the DS's bits all the time tongueold

My daughter is 6 and my son is 2.5. I still bathe them together because neither of them are uncomfortable with it yet and it's so much easier on me doing bath time solo. I think that by next year they will be bathing separately.

Right now mine are together. DS is 4.5 and DD is 20 months. We will continue doing so until it doesn't work for our schedule/routine or until they request otherwise. They love it.

Mine are just over 3.5 and 13 months so yeah, I bathe them together all the time. I have no idea when that will change.. probably as others have suggested above.

Thanks, all!!!

Good to know i'm not doing anything out of the ordinary.

My kids enjoy playing with water toys together, there is never any inappropriate touching, and it makes my life SO much easier at bed-time. But my MIL and Mom have been on my case for a while now that i need to separate them. Honestly, don't know how i'd manage that with #3 coming. So will keep them together until someone feels uncomfortable or asks for privacy. DD seems to be a bit of an exhibitionist, so not an issue for now.

We are just starting down this road as my DD is only 9 weeks old LOL

I remember having an absolute BLAST at bath time with my brother (usually involved lots of bubbles, and occasionally the dog!) I say continue as long as everyone is comfortable doing so smile
