Oh, there it is.
It doesn't look that bad. My mom has one that's similar, with the same kind of history. I wouldn't touch it myself - if it's like my mom's, yes it's old and maybe a bit dated, but it's also a gorgeous piece of wood furniture and I'd be afraid to wreck it by painting it.
There's something to be said for keeping antique pieces in their original form. Not everything has to be white or a funky color.

I'm reading the fourth book in the Game of Thrones series - A Feast for Crows. But I'm almost done, and I can't decide if I want to bite the bullet and buy the 5th on in hardcover, or impatiently wait for the soft cover edition.
Otherwise, I'm going to read The Clan of the Cave Bear, since my parents actually bought me the full set of the series for Christmas this year.

I usually wash my hair and put conditioner in it before I start shaving - I find that my skin is obviously much warmer and the follicles are open, so I get a way better shave.
I just use the soap generated by my body lotion, and a men's razor. I don't find any difference between the expensive and the cheap ones, so I just use the cheap BIC razors. When I'm done, I towel dry and then apply lotion to my legs. I actually find that when I don't moisturize right away, that that's when I get bumps.
I guess everyone is different.

I'm an only. I loved it and I still do.
I wasn't spoiled (well, maybe a little since I was the only child) but I didn't have things handed to me and I learned to work for things I wanted. All those stereotypes around onlies - that we can't share, no social skills, etc - don't apply to me because my parents made sure they didn't. I didn't do a lot of "kid" things necessarily, but my parents always tried to do fun things as the three of us - road trips, picnics, bike rides, etc.
As a result, as an adult, I'm independant and well-rounded. I can entertain myself quite well, or I can integrate into a group. I don't think I missed out on anything by not having siblings, other than that potential close relationship with them. But even that's not a guarantee.
I don't have kids, but I only want one.

My mom came to mine, but we're really close.

I actually thought it was fun to party with her. She didn't stay the whole time, but she did most of it and it was really nice to have her there. My friends just treated her like one of the girls, and she didn't act like a "parent" at all, if that makes sense.
However, I would never in a million years have invited my MIL. No way.
So, I think it depends on the relationship and the personality of the parent.

First point - nobody's watching you. And if they are, it's because they are impressed that you are out running.

Second - if it's a fairly well used trail, and you're not running at night, your chances of having anything happen to you are pretty slim. I'm not saying it can't happen, just that the likelihood is way less than you might think.
I read a quote today, that was really good and applies to this kind of thing. That the mind is really the athlete and the body is just the tool it uses to get where it's going. You have to decide in your head that you're not letting a fear of the unknown hold you back from a goal you've set for yourself.
Now, get outside, and start running.

That said, I hate having the TV in the bedroom and most of the time it's not even plugged in.

Well, technically, I have three, because the TV that used to be in the basement is still in the crawlspace, waiting for me to post it to Kijiji to try to sell it.

If I missed anyone else who had a question, I'm sorry!!
This thread has me in tears, you guys are so awesome. Thanks so much for your comments, they mean a lot.

And for those wondering at my meal plan, I'm happy to share. But keep in mind you would want to tweak it for more of an everyday eating plan!
Breakfast
8 egg whites
1/2 cup oats (raw measure)
1 Tbsp ground flax seed
Snack
1 cup Greek yogurt (skim or 1%)
1 cup blueberries or raspberries
Lunch
150g turkey or chicken breast
1/2 cup yams
120g broccoli/cauliflower/carrot mix
Snack
1 can of tuna (water-packed, rinsed under hot water)
1 apple
Supper
120g beef (any round or loin cut) or salmon
1/2 cup brown rice
1200g green veggies (I preferred broccoli)
Snack
3/4 cup cottage cheese (low-fat)
15 almonds or walnut halves
As I got closer to the show, the Greek yogurt and berries turned into 90g of chicken and 90 of veggies, and the cottage cheese became a protein shake.
I was drinking about 5-7 litres of water a day, as well.
ETA: Condiments were freebies, anything I wanted (BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard, salad dressings, etc) as long as it was used within reason.
And if you're curious, I was also on a heavy rotation of vitamins!! I took the following, twice a day - once with breakfast, and once with supper, plus a ZMA supplement before bed.
Multi-vit
400iu Vit E
500mg Vit C
B complex
Omega 3-6-9
Vitamin D
Calcium

LOL. Yes, those "after" shots were taken a few weeks ago..
And as for how I did it? I worked my tail off (literally and figuratively). I ate very clean, drank tons of water, two cardio sessions a day, weight training 5 times a week. I mean, it's not overly realistic for a long term, and certainly not for someone who isn't looking to step on stage, but that's what I was training for.

Ummmm.....well, my boobs were sad empty sacks of skin.

I've filled back out a bit now, but they were smallish to start and they are even smaller now. I've learned to accept it.
And yes, I work with a trainer. It's the only way I can stick with a program like this, since I tried for years on my own and got nowhere. Plus, it's nice to have someone to answer questions, who's watching over you and has your interests and goals in mind. I actually really like my trainer, quite a bit. He's pretty awesome.

Ooooo......my very own thread.

OK, so when I started training for the show in October 2011, these were my starting pictures. So I'm 5'4", and here I'm at about 165 pounds. Pardon the stupid expressions on my face:
And then the day before the show, at 135 pounds:
And then, after you cut water for the actual show, at 128 pounds. I actually took a picture of the scale because I didn't believe I weighed under 130 pounds. LOL
And my favorite shot, with a friend who also competed at the show. She lost over 50 pounds

If you want to look at more from a photoshoot we did, click on this link:
BWB Photoshoot Unfortunately, I didn't place top 5, so I'm not actually sure where I ended up in my height class, but it was a ton of fun (lots of work, but still fun - for the most part), and I would totally do it again.

Thanks for asking.

I've been to both, and I'm at Shapes, because it's the one I preferred.
I find the variety and amount of classes (because that's what I prefer for cardio) to be better, and up until very recently, Shapes has been way more convenient for me (location wise) than a Goodlife has been. Plus, I really like the hot yoga that's offered at every location (or will be, once they finish the reno at the Regent location).
Hope that helps.
