I was 22 when I found my first grey hair (pointed out to me by my hairdresser). I was surprised it actually took so long to find. I thought for sure I would find it earlier since I had my dad's hair. My dad had his first grey hair in grade 7 so I was surprised I made it through high school let alone into my 20's. Now I have quite a few but they're spread out over a big enough area that most people don't know and think I just have blonde bits in my hair but I know...but it doesn't phase me that much. That's what hair dye is for

My work is having a record setting Robbie Burns Marathon. They are trying to have a world record for the longest recitation of his works by having people come read his poems for 4.5 hours. Hope we can do it!

I nag him to start early but by Christmas he's done. However every year he always says "I have the perfect idea for you if only I had more time" I told him this year I'd be glad to wait a few extra days for my present if need be. He didn't like that idea. The other option I told him is next year we're going to have a rule that all Christmas shopping must be done by the end of November but yeah I don't see that happening as I'm not done myself.

Yes but DH has a wiki site that we use to make our Christmas wishlists but I have used a wishlist on a site or two to help figure out how much items are and what I like (or like for others).
The wiki is helpful though as we can add/change it at any time and link to other sites anywhere on the internet.

Yup to all! The birthday's in our family are all fairly easy to remember:
MIL: June 13
Me: June 20 (one week later)
My Dad: July 1 (Canada Day)
DH: Sept 1
My Mom: Sept 2 (real easy to remember there)
FIL: Dec 2 (3 months after my mom)
The one I always forget is BIL. Oh and our son's birthday is the day before mine. And my grandma is the day before MIL.

Dh's family always did it and mine didn't. After everyone started to have kids on my side it became far to many people to buy for. So when we got together in the summer I went to each of my Aunts and Uncles and asked if they would like to draw names instead of buying for everyone. You still get a gift for all those who are under the age of 18 but everyone over has to pull a name out of a hat (and you can still buy something seperate for Grandma and Grandpa). They all liked the idea since Christmas was getting expensive as well and now we draw names at Thanksgiving. Which reminds me I have to figure out what the heck I'm going to give one of my aunts.

We had to do co-bathing for about 4-6 months before DS like it. He would scream when he was in the bath tray in the bath tub but if I got in and we bathed together then he was all smiles. I just had an interview this week and the 2 questions that kinda threw me were "What will your references say about you?" and the same one Honeysher posted "why did you want to leave your old job?"

I voted no. I really didn't want to but DH and my parents talked to me about it and convinced me that although the new tax sucks it really would be better for our family in the end. To me the most important aspect was how was this going to affect me and my family and yes higher taxes suck but it will be so much work, hassle and most importantly money to go backwards that in the end DH said it's better for US (our family) that we suck it up and embrace the new tax.
However my mom wants to include a post it note stating her TRUE feelings about how all this went about as well as how she will be voting next election! I would love to see the face of the person reading that note

This is the one argument DH and I had before we were married. I always wanted to take my husband's last name as I wanted the same family name especially if my kids were going to be taking DH's last name. Plus my maiden name is too long to hyphenate so that was out. However DH comes from a family where the women all keep their names so he didn't think I should loose/change my name. In the end he knew it was my decision but I think he still thinks I shouldn't have changed it.

W-F: 10-9

Try to have someone with a good head on their shoulders know what's suppose to be happening at all times. I've been to a number of weddings where the bride had to stop mingling or dancing because the caterer or DJ needed to know something. I had my mom and MOH as my contact points so I never was bugged over trivial things during the night.
I wish DH and I had decided to fully write down what we wanted to say when we did our thank you speech. We only had note form and we ended up missing/cutting out a few things.
Look at your FH as you walk down the aisle. I had a really long aisle so I was able to see some of my guests in the beginning but as soon as I saw DH I never took my eyes off him.

Just an FYI. With grommets you can punch a hole, then place the grommet in and hammer the edges down to make it stay in place. Just make sure your hole punch is the right size for the grommet. This take a little more work but saves buying a special tool and allows you just to use a hole punch. However the grommet tool can set them nicer and faster.
