I know she meant well, but after she asked last year and I told asked her to not worry about it, she sensed my issue (or talked with DH and he told her...) and I get cash or a giftcard now for my birthday .

I would say my experiences were all different, but all good. My first I was induced due to pre eclampsia, it was long, but the staff were super supportive. I had one nurse that was great up until delivery...she got really rude during the pushing phase (she didnt like how vocal I was during delivery).

my second, they were fabulous, they didnt look down on me for having a birth plan, and followed it as closely as they could

for those 2 I was not able to be roomed in the post partum ward after birthing, as they were both full (I was close, but didnt get the private rooms they have). so it was sucky to have to share a ward (3 people to a room).

with my last, again, the staff was awsome. I got into the proper post partum area and dh was able to stay the night, they even brought him in a cot.
the nurses were supportive, tthe doctors were great.

the only down side are the showers in the post partum area are old and gross.
the bathrooms in the labour rooms were fabulous....big jet tubs....room for dh too!

Cows milk:- havent tried it yet for the sir. Lazy I guess

THis little man has been walking for the last month,and I cant believe how confident he is! he even did decently in shoes out in the yard.

He had his first haircut yesterday! I didnt want to cut the messy locks, they were so sweet, but he keeps rubbing his food in the hair behind his ears, it was like glue after a while.

I was sick with pneumonia for the last while...I started antibiotics almost 2 weeks ago. With that, I guess the taste of my breastmilk changed, and Joshua regected it outright. He went from a few sucks and pushing it away to not even giving it a chance anymore
now that im dont the antibiotics I tried again, and he wont have any of it - actually feeling a little pervy shoving my boob in his face.
Im a little heartbroken, as I wasnt ready to be fully 'done' yet.

birthday party: we are doing a cowboy theme...Josh was "Woody" from toystory for halloween, so he will re-wear his costume. soooo many cute ideas on pinterest.
I think I may end up ordering a tiered cake.
its ok though, because I scored his present for only 20$,. so i can pay a bit more to the cake!

the day I got home, I wore them, and the side seam came undone (about 3-4 inches worth!)
Im pissed because There is no H&M here so Im SOL...have to fix them myself

Ok, so I made the cake this afternoon while the babes slept (I run a daycare, so I had a good hour and a half in the afternoon).

I did a couple of things differently though.
A) I had no red food colouring, so I used neon pink...with the ketchup colour, it just looked like a bright orangy red combined.
B) I didnt have enough icing sugar, so I modified the recipe a bit...and died it blue at my 7 year olds request.
c) I used bread pans, as I cant find one of my 9" pans
d) I iced while it was still warm, as there was no way I could keep a 7 year old and 2 4 year olds waiting any longer for cake at snack time

the result was pretty good I think.
THe kids LOVED it.
It didnt really taste like ketchup at first...It reminded me of a sweeter carrot cake.
I could only handle one small peice. I did go back for more, but it was too sweet after I found.
it was super duper moist...I love that in a cake.
