I've been MIA, I need to stay in touch with you girls on here so I don't give up on this!
My shoes were those $19 kicks from Walmart, not meant for running, more for looks, type of sneaker. They killed me. My back and knees hurt for days afterward. But I REALLY want to get back into this, I haven't ran in two weeks now, so I might just do whatever I can to keep going. My mom has a pair of shoes I may be able to borrow.

Okay, I officially need shoes.

I did W2D3 yesterday, and halfway through I had to walk the rest of the way, I failed.

My knees, ankles, and back were just KILLING, I couldn't run through it. So now I need to somehow get out and buy some shoes and try to keep up with the C25K schedule too. Ughhh.

I'm not sure if this is a postpartum thing like hairloss - my hair is a total GREASEBALL. Not everywhere - just on the crown of my head. I can't get it clean!!! I wash my hair, dry it right out of the shower, and at the crown of my head it's all chunky and greasy. It's disgusting! I've even tried washing my hair with straight dish soap, and it makes it better, but still not clean enough that I can straighten my hair and wear it down. It's so gross

Does anyone else have this?? What the heck am I supposed to do! I didn't have this with DS!

iseesquared - believe it or not, I have been FAR below that. I was 126 at one point. I was 19, working in landscaping (so exercising all day) and just had a great metabolism I guess. It was WAYYYY too skinny, I looked anorexic! I ate whatever I wanted. I was around 130-135 all through high school.
I'm 27 now. So basically for the past eight years, I've been creeping up from 126 pounds. 150 is where I feel good, I remember that weight. About a size 6-8!

I'm trying to think of how to word this as unconfusingly(?) as possible, lol.
I "like" a bunch of pages on Facebook that have public walls - meaning you don't have to "like" the page to see the wall posts.
I noticed while logged into DH's Facebook, in his newsfeed it said "Pannecoeke has commented on a post on "whatever" page" and it shows my comment on a wall post on that page. This is not a page that DH "likes".
Is there a way to hide that stuff from appearing in my friends' newsfeeds? Not that I'm super ashamed of it, but I like a couple pages about breastfeeding, etc, and don't exactly want my entire friends list seeing my comments about how to effectively hand-express milk, KWIM?

I've never been, but I've always heard from people who have - don't even bother with actual "Hollywood"... it's a very small town and it's dirty and ugly and kind of grungy. I mean, I'd probably go for a couple hours just to see it and take a picture of the Hollywood letters on the hill, but it's not where all the shiny pretty clubs/shopping/restaurants/celebrities are! I don't think they're saying they don't have time, they're saying they'd rather spend that time doing something else - cooking, playing with the kids, shopping, sitting on their butts - WHATEVER. To be honest, if I could afford a housecleaner, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I'd rather spend the time I spend cleaning my house doing a ton of other things - reading, doing crafts, hobbies, etc.
To a point I agree with you - I definitely think it's a luxury to have a housecleaner, and that these women don't NEED it. But they have the money and they don't want to clean - I just can't fault them for it, lol!

Moosehead, to be fair, you don't have a job (right? Unless you got one recently). You're a SAHM and both your kids are in school all day. If YOU hired a housekeeper, I'd judge you. Two parents to toddlers who both work demanding FT jobs? No judgment, lol.

I SO COMPLETELY FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY. Some days are worse than others, and I have had plenty of days lately just like yours.
When DD is 6 months old or so, I'm going to get a PT job, and I can't even tell you how excited I am. It might just be at Starbucks or the mall, but it will be SOMETHING.
I feel like I'm not meant to be a SAHM to really little ones. I picture myself being happiest when they are both in school FT and I am working PT, home for them when they get home from school, etc. I think that will be a great balance for me.
Big hugs, just know that I (and others) understand 100%.

I'm curious about the people posting, specifically teachers, that they think 20 sick days are necessary - as stated a billion times already (haha) teachers work 10 months out of the year (or, 9.237478 because of Christmas and March Break, lol). That's 2 sick days per month. That's taking a sick day every other week for the entire school year. Isn't that a bit excessive? Who actually uses 20 sick days in 10 months? I think that's insane!

Oh I totally get being upset! Anyone would be if they found out there was no raise for the next 2 years and their sick days were being reduced. I was and so were my co-workers

I definitely don't think teachers should be PLEASED about it, that's ridiculous and I didn't even hint that you should be all thrilled and "dancing in the streets".
As to your second comment - no one is cutting wages (I thought?), they're being frozen for two years.
There are most DEFINITELY other areas in public education that should be cut. Standardized testing is one of them, I think. But my point is, IMO a 2 year wage freeze and lowering the number of sick days (even to say, 15) is completely reasonable, given the climate of today's economy.

I was listening to talk radio this morning and they were talking about this. Is it true that teachers get 20 sick days per year, and if they don't use them, they accumulate and you can cash them out? If so, IMO that needs to go. We do have a deficit and some things DO need to be cut... I know other jobs in the public sector may also have the same thing (cash payout of unused sick days that is) but I think thit also needs to go for them.
I do not agree with most of the stuff being proposed though, that website is really interesting.

Nope. I just can't believe people pay that much money for cotton and spandex! Even if there is lycra too, it probably costs Lulu about $3 to make these pants. The owner is laughing all the way to the bank LOL.
I do have a pair - my mom bought some secondhand with tags still on, brand-new. She lost weight gave them to me (yay)... by the time she gave them to me (a couple months after she bought them) they were SO pilly. Like the entire butt covered in pills. I wear them around the house because they're comfy, but they're not "nice" yoga pants that I would wear to the store or anything.
