With ODS we used the Gerber first essentials bottles and i really liked them. DS never had any issues with them.
This time around we are using the playtex drop ins and I like them. We switched this time because They are way quicker to clean. And I need To save all the time I can to attend to my toddler.
I also really like that the drop ins take way less time to warm up.

For those of you that EFF with concentrate, how do you mix your formula? Do you prepare each bottle individually? Or do you mix up a big batch in a container and then pour it into the bottles?
If you prepare a big batch at once what kind of container do you use to mix it in? And how do you sterilize the container between batches?

I tried to bribe him this morning with a popsicle, but he was still not even close to happy about taking his medication.
Thanks for all your replies ladies, it's really reassuring to know that i'm not the only one who's LO fights taking medication.
MissBianca you're lucky! DS has no problem taking tylenol or advil or gripe water by syringe, he just hates his amoxicillin cause of the banana flavour.

DS is 25 months and has his first ear infection and was prescribed antibiotics by the DR. We went to the pharmacy, and they gave him a banana flavoured suspension (which smells awful) He's supposed to take it 3 times a day. The first dose, I was able to give him by the syringe, but since then, he wants nothing to do with it.
I've had success once putting it in his applesauce. And twice in his orange juice, but now when I offer him orange juice he takes one sip and refuses any more. He also doesn't want any apple sauce now.
So we have had to give the last few via syringe, much to DS's dismay, complete with kicking and fighting. He is okay within a couple minutes after taking it, but I just hate upsetting him when giving him his medication.
Any tips or suggestions on ways I can make him taking his medication easier? He's going to be on it for 6 more days.

We had the same thing happen with our monitor (the infrared light went) Ours was just past the 1 year warranty, but they were able to give us a new model. But offered to sell us a refurbished one for I think around $75

I always back into my parking stall in the parkade at work. I used to pull in but stopped after almost getting hit a few times while trying to back out at the end of the day.
It doesn't take me any time at all the back into my parking spots as I do it so often. But I have noticed how annoyed the person behind me gets as the try to speed around me.
Those are the same people generally that park like idiots when they pull into their parking stalls.
I also have to back into my parking stall in our parkade at home because I park next to a wall, and the people that park beside me and across from me have huge vehicles that make it tough to back out of.
If i'm at the mall or the grocery store, i decide whether to back in or pull into the parking stall based on the spots available.

I have an aunt who is 17 years younger than her husband. Making her husband 1 year younger than my grandma. I thought it was really weird when i first found out.
But it's not my place to give an opinion. They've been together for 25 years so no one really notices the age difference anymore. And my grandma and aunts husband get along amazingly well.
I think it's up to the couple to decide whether their age gap is okay or not. Except when one of them is underage. Then it's just not appropriate.

My first user name was my occupation and my favourite song from when I was in high school.
The when DS was born I changed it to (ds'snames.mommy)
Then after a while I decided I wanted something a little shorter, and I found out I was pregnant with baby #2. So I changed it to SHE, Which is my favourite Green Day song

I've gone to restaurants and eaten alone. And at first I was a little hesitant about it, but now It really doesn't bother me.
I actually took myself out for lunch on my birthday. I actually enjoy going for a meal by myself, I don't have to wait for someone else to order. And sometimes its nice to have a meal in quiet! Also it's really nice to get your food quickly!
I really hate how awkward the servers make you feel, especially when you say you just want a table for one. I guess some people think that eating in public is an activity reserved for groups of two or more!

We are going to my parents to hang out and play board games and have some appies.
I'm actually looking forward to it. Being inside and warm, not having to worry about driving home, cause DS has a crib there, and we have my old room to stay in. DS can go to bed when he's tired. And I won't feel left out with not being able to drink.
I decided to pick what we do this year cause DH picked last year and we ended up at a super boring party of his friends, where we had to pay $40 per person, for mediocre food, and I didn't know any of the other ladies, so I sat there surfing the web on my phone.

I'm wondering if you can all help me with some Christmas gift ideas for DS's DHP.
We and DS loves his DHP, he loves going there, doesn't want to leave when I pick him up cause he's having too much fun! And she has been super accommodating for us. (Opening earlier so that DH and I can both work dayshift, and taking him for an extra hour or so when I have to work OT) We want to get her something nice from DS, and us.
So any suggestions? (No chocolate suggestions please as she has a peanut free home, and is also a diet controlled Diabetic)
Thanks

DS will be 2 in January and I've been talking about getting him a play kitchen for Christmas. He loves emptying out the cupboards, and helping unload the dishwasher, and attempting to get in the fridge all the time.
He also like watching me cook dinner, So I think that a play kitchen with some of his own stuff to use would be a great idea.
DH on the other hand thinks that a play kitchen is a "Girly" toy.
I think that it's a unisex toy. As my cousin got her DS a Kitchen for his 3rd birthday and he loved it.
So what do you guys think? Is a play kitchen an okay toy for a boy?
Also does anyone have recommendations on a good play kitchen?

We received our October package this morning. I was confused when I could hear it talking while carrying it upstairs lol.
DS loves his talking Cars racecar, and was zooming it all over the coffee table this evening. His little face light up when he saw his new cars book, and promptly asked me to read it to him.
We love the Charlie Brown Great pumpkin book, and can't wait to read it to DS.
I can't wait to use my new Pumpkin, Ghost and Bat cookie cutters!
The card is adorable and I'm about to indulge myself with some of the chocolates you sent!
Thank you for a wonderful October package!

I only went once when DS was about 10 months old. I liked it, I found that it was a little quieter and it wasn't as dark as normal.
The one thing that I didn't really like was they said that there was a change table in the theater when it was actually outside the theater, So I missed part of the movie when I had to take DS out to change him.

I have the same First years umbrella stroller that TeacherAnge has.
I love it, I paid about $75 for it a few months ago, but it's great. Its awesome that it had a little basket underneath, and it reclines slightly, and it has a little pocket up top with cupholders which is awesome. I use it all the time, mostly for quick trips or for Dr's Appointments.

Dear Moron Bicycle Courier,
I saw you drop your bike against my van. Because I was sitting in it. When I stepped out of my van and said "WTF?" I know you heard me! I saw the stunned look on your face as you ran down the street
and jumped on your bike.
For the record I know who you are, cause we went to junior high together! And you're still a d!ck!
Seriously would an "I'm sorry" have been too much to ask for?
Dear DS,
Thank you for being such a sweet caring adorable little man. Your hugs and kisses, and little Hi's melt my heart every day. I'm so blessed that I am your mommy!
Love Mama
Dear DH,
I love you, thank you for working so hard to take care of your family. You are a truly amazing man. I promise to not get as annoyed when you nag me as I know you're doing it for my own good!
Love Wifey
