I'm dealing with some (unrelated) health issues right now, so I am unable to exercise currently or focus on weight loss, or I would sign up for 5.0.... Good luck in the next round!!!

sooooo didn't feel like it, but I'm really hoping for a 'decent' (or any!) loss this week. I'm not feeling great, and it's freezing cold out (which makes you want to curl up and eat!!)... But I realized I can't just wish away the pounds!
I'm starting to be low on motivation as well, as the scale is moving slower than what I was hoping. But I took some quick measurements tonight, and realized that I've lost a decent amount. That was the extra push I needed to get my a$$ in gear.
Keep it up ladies!!

The weight range on the package is pretty inaccurate in my experience with my 2 dd's. My ydd is in size 3 (16 to 28 lbs), but I plan on bumping her to size 4 (22 to 38? Lbs) after this pack. She is just shy of 19 lbs. There is an overlap in their suggested weights, and even then, I tend to fall outside it. I do like the diapers to be on the slightly bigger side though, probably bc I've been through one too many poopsplosions in my lifetime.
I also think it's sad when she gets little red marks on her thighs from her diaper... Going up a size seems to fix this.

YDD was a bottle refuser/soother refuser too, until about 5 to 5.5 months old. Tried EVERYTHING. Sometimes, latex (the brown coloured) bottle nipples/soothers would work....
YDD was a bottle refuser/soother refuser too, until about 5 to 5.5 months old. Tried EVERYTHING. Sometimes, latex (the brown coloured) bottle nipples/soothers would work. They are much softer than silicone. Around 5 months or so, DD started taking the Playtex dropins with the latex nipple. Then the nipple seemed to be too collapsable, so now we're on the silicone one!
Try holding/laying baby exactly how he nurses. If I lay DD down on a pillow in front of me, she will easily (*knock on wood!*) take the bottle now. Sitting up is getting better, we're working on it!

I think I wrote this exact post a couple months ago! I was about to only give sippy's or straw cups, but someone suggested since...
I think I wrote this exact post a couple months ago! I was about to only give sippy's or straw cups, but someone suggested since she was so young, just to try again, be persistent. DD would play with the bottle nipple, take a sip or so, or sometimes threw a huge fit. Bottles weren't working. I waited a week or 2 until she was around 4 months?, then tried again.
I had tried EVERY.SINGLE.BOTTLE/nipple. However, I decided to go back to the playtex dropins, as she seemed to like drinking sitting up, not reclined back. What do you know -- she took an ounce each day for a few days, then 2 oz, then now she'll have the occasional 3 oz. That's success to me. I started with the latex slow flow nipples, since she really seemed to play with all silicone ones. Once she got the hang of bottles, I switched to silicone, which she seemed to prefer. The latex ones were softer, which was good initially, but seemed to collapse too much between her lips. The silicone ones are working good right nw *knock on wood*.
They only sell slow and fast flow silicone naturalatch nipples in Canada, but you can buy the medium ones in the states (if needed). There's a HUGE difference between flows.
When I feed her, I sit in our usual spot, but sit her on my lap facing out, towards the tv and (usually) ODD. I make sure she's nice and comfy on me, and gently offer it to her while she's mostly sitting up straight, but leaning on me. A few times she's actually refused the breast (!) because she wants to look around and see what's going on... the bottle allows this.
As for straw cups, I have a nuby one (I think), that pretty much requires DD to bite the straw a bit while drinking. Not sure I like that idea. One that she LOVES though, is the rubbermaid juice box one. (from walmart or superstore, $2 to $3). Easy to drink from, and easy to clean!
