Red, I know that 2J and I both LOVE our UppaBaby Vistas! I haven't tried it on the beach or snow yet, but there is a lot of construction around my house, and I've never had any issues getting through it. I was able to push it up a steep hill on grass at the cottage without a problem either. And I love that I could use his car seat, the bassinet or the toddler seat (which I started using at 4 months).
Good luck with your choice!

Mine broke at 3:30am while I was lying in bed trying to convince myself that I didn't need to get up to pee.

It was a huge gush and I yelled at DH to wake up and get me some towels. I was 36w5d and had been having contractions since 33w. Of course they stopped once my water broke, and I was induced at 11am.

I really need to go shopping for fall cause I was pregnant last year and don't have very much right now. Mat leave pay sucks though so I will have to be really selective on what I get. I think my must have list is a pair of skinny jeans, a few neutral tops, leggings and tunics. I just started up a new business though and need to be presentable when I get out of the house, so I'm not sure if that will be enough.

My paternal grandmother and her daughter both had breast cancer and survived, my grandfather and my aunt both have had melanoma and survived. My step-grandfather passed away from non-hodgkins lymphoma and my aunts husband passed away from the same thing. DH's grandmother passed away from lung cancer and his aunts husband passed away from leukemia a few months ago. It's a terrible, terrible disease.

We have a totally open concept main floor and I have 4 colours as well. The main entrance/foyer is a light grey, the powder room is charcoal, the back wall is chocolate brown and so is the island. The rest of the walls are cream. Here are some pics from last Christmas.
The main entrance:

Powder room:

'Dining' room (I would also add another colour to the indent where the window is as well as the wall to the right):

Living room:

Dinette:

Kitchen:

It's basically one big square area.

I agree with the others that it sounds like it was done as tactfully as possible. We had a very random, expensive gift given to us at the wedding, but there was no card attached, and no cards without a gift, so we had to contact the few people that didn't get us anything just to see if it was from one of them. It was a difficult situation, and we still don't know who left it.

My big guy started solids at 4 months. We started with 1-2 tbsp at dinner and now he has something at all meals. He prefers big meals, so he gets 3 bottles per day plus a half bottle before bed.

Mum-mums and 9.5 oz bottle.
10:30-1pm - Nap
1pm - Lunch
1 baby bullet container of veggie and 9.5oz bottle
3-5pm - Nap

~4 tbsp of cereal mixed with formula (sometimes with fruit) and 9.5oz bottle

Hi ladies! My little porker is also up from his 6 lbs 13 oz birth weight (which dropped down to 6 lbs 4 oz) to 9 lbs 4 oz as of yesterday morning. He is drinking 5 oz every 4 hours during the day and about every 5 hours throughout the night. I pump 5 times a day and usually manage to freeze 1 meal a day to stockpile.
As for sleeping, we've been co-sleeping since he was born. I got used to it in the hospital because he was so small and I was so paranoid and then once we got home, I just kept it up. He is now sleeping between DH and I though, whereas before he would sleep on my chest. I mainly use his bassinet as a change table throughout the night and he sleeps in it when I shower. He will sleep in his bassinet (in the playpen in the living room) during the day while I'm doing things around the house though.
We are getting the ILs to babysit for the first time on Saturday and they are so excited. DH and I are going to a friends 40th birthday party with a full open bar. I think I'll have 1 drink and be tipsy..

I told DH that that will be the night though! I can't wait...it's been too long.
E has been pretty fussy today, and it's unusual, so I hope he settles down before tonight.
