I take the Health Balance prenatals that you can buy at Costco. They have the exact same quantities of everything in them as Materna. They have never made me queasy (I take it immediately after dinner). I also take an additional 600mg of Calcium, and 2000iu of Vitamin D with the prenatal (as per my doctor's advice).

Digital tests are no where near as sensitive as regular pregnancy tests. You will likely get a negative result on a digital test for a few days, possibly even until AF is officially late.
If you tested with an FRER and it was positive, then you're pregnant! Congratulations! You should schedule an appointment with your doctor (or go to a walk in) to confirm the pregnancy.
If you want to continue to test at home, make sure you always test with first morning urine. You should stick to using FRERs.
I got my BFP on an FRER at 10 DPO and it was confirmed by my doctor at 13 DPO.

Lily Moss Baby is amazing! They just moved to their new location, just a few blocks from e-children. I always find e-children to be a bit chaotic, and unfortunately I've been completely ignored by the staff a few times (not when Nire was there of course!), and that left me with a really bad taste in my mouth.

Aquablue, considering that I hadn't knit anything in about 10 years I'd say it was fairly simple. Back when I was knitting, all I could do were straight lines (read scarves). I had to relearn how to cast on and bind off, and the hardest part was adding in the second balls of yarn (I worked with two balls of yarn simultaneously and then when I was running out I had to start new two balls simultaneously).
It is an online pattern! I chose one that only required knit and purl stitches, since those were the only stitches I ever learned. I wanted to be able to do it and not feel overwhelmed by it. Here's the pattern:

The schedule 7 should be quick and easy. Your DH would have all the RRSP tax receipts and if he is using his entire contribution from 2011 as a deduction for the 2011 tax year, then the entire amount contributed in 2011 is deducted from his total income. If he's only using some of the available deductions and carrying over deduction room for a future year, it's also pretty straight forward.
This is why I prefer to do it all by hand. I have to do calculations from both of our returns just to be able to complete one return. By the time I've gotten that far into the tax returns I might as well just finish them by hand!

I do our taxes the old fashioned way (by hand with a calculator on the forms that I mail in), but you only need to get the net income number from both returns before either of you file. The net income will be on line 236 of each of your returns.
To figure out the net income, all you need is the total amount of income recorded on any and all T4s for each person. Then you need to figure out what deductions each person qualified for. Those deductions will reduce the total income to the net income and include things like RRSP contributions, union dues, child care expenses, etc. If your DH didn't make any RRSP contributions for the 2011 tax year (between March 1 2011 and February 29 2012), didn't pay any union dues, and you didn't have any child care expenses, then the odds are good his total income from all T4s is equal to his net income. (In this case, simply total the amount from box 14 on all his T4 slips).
The net income from line 236 of each return will be put on the front page of both of your returns (where it asks for the spouse's net income), and will also be needed to do the calculation on line 303 of the Schedule 1.
Neither of you needs to finish your tax return completely to be able to have the net income to put on the first page of the other person's return. It shouldn't take more than a couple minutes to figure out if the total income and net income differ, and if so, by how much.

I bought a whole bunch of bachelorette stuff at the dollar store last summer. Not dollarama, but an independent dollar store that hails itself as party supply central. I bought props and supplies for the bride and 8 guests for less than $60. There was no shortage of bachelorette items to choose from either!

UPS is the worst for brokerage fees that I've ever experienced. If you order something that costs less than $50 online and have it shipped to Canada, you should not have to pay any duty or tax on the item. You wouldn't have to pay if you just hopped the border to pick something up and crossed back 20 minutes later, and shipping an item is no different.
UPS will charge a brokerage fee even though the item doesn't need to see customs or have any duty and tax paid on it. That is why UPS is one of the worst shipping companies for cross-border shipping. I once ordered DH a Christmas gift that shipped via UPS. The item was $40. The brokerage fee for UPS was $35... No duty or tax owing, just a ridiculously high brokerage fee for UPS not brokering anything at the border.

Actually, file sharing is not illegal in Canada. You can download music for your own listening enjoyment and to be used on your own listening devices (ie. iPod), as long as you are not making copies AND selling the copies. As long as I'm not profiting financially from downloading music (or other files) then I'm doing nothing wrong.

The duty and brokerage fees you paid were paid to the shipping company. The shipping company acted as the customs broker for your dress and they charged you both the duty and tax they estimated you would owe, as well as a fee for the service of acting as the customs broker. The store you bought the dress from would have no control over the duty/tax/brokerage fee and would not have received any of that money. Since the shipping company brokered your package, they had to be paid for that service. If you return the dress, the service the shipping company provided was still completed and therefore needed to be paid.
Unfortunately, when a store uses a shipping company that automatically brokers your package (even when that package is below the minimum value required for duty to be owing), there is no way to recover that money if you need to return the item. This is one of the reasons I try only to order from stores in the US that ship via USPS, not UPS or FedEx.

For what it's worth, I bought my first iPad a few weeks ago and went with the New iPad. For me, it was about it not being 2 generations behind less than a year from now (tempting me to upgrade), and also about the display resolution. I saw some side to side comparisons, and the New iPad has a significantly improved display.
Be forewarned that finding a case for the New iPad can be tricky as it's so new and it doesn't fit iPad 2 cases. The sleep function that operates with magnets in some case covers was also changed for the New iPad. Just make sure you do your research before picking a case. There are lots of great reviews of cases out there though!

If this is your first iPad, you should get the New iPad (3). You know with apple, there will be a 4th generation iPad next Spring. You may as well buy the most up to date iPad now so you are not already 2 generations behind within a year.
The iPad 2 is only available in the 16gb model now, so if you want a 32gb you will have to get the New iPad.

You should use the first temp that you took immediately upon waking. The 6:55 temp will be off since you were awake for over 30 minutes.
Your first temp was taken within an hour of your usual time, so it will still be accurate.
For what it's worth, I took my temp whenever I woke up and never bothered to adjust the time it was taken on FF. Even on weekends when I would get up more than an hour later than my usual temp taking time. It never skewed my chart and my temps weren't erratic.
Feel like sharing a link to your chart?
Are you using a basal body thermometer? How long have you had it?

Back in the beginning of March I asked for some knitting help with my first knitting project in about ten years! I just finished the baby blanket yesterday (I still have to weave in the ends) and it looks great! I just wanted to say thank you to the ladies who were kind enough to share their knitting expertise with me! It was very helpful to have some WBers to turn to when I was panicking about the whole thing.

It's not unusual for your temp to take a day or two to lower again after AF starts. For some women it drops the day before AF starts, and for others it takes some time to drop more slowly. You'll have to chart for a few cycles to know what is normal for you. If this AF ends up being super short and light and your temp does not drop you may want to POAS.

The "duty & tax" that they are charging is not just duty and tax. It's a brokerage fee. I can assure you that the duty and tax on $174.74 plus $30.78 should not be $51. To me, the thought of paying $81.78 for $174.74 worth of goods is not worth it at all. That's almost 50% of the value of the goods. Ridiculous.

Apart from the overly photoshopped nature of the ad, I think it's kind of funny.
To the PP who gave the analogy of men feeding babies with their penises.... That comparison only works if it's vagina feeding, not breast feeding... When women have to pull down their pants and attach their baby's mouth to their vagina in order to feed him/her, you can feel free to compare it to feeding a baby by attaching it to a penis.
For what it's worth, I think babies have just as much of a right to eat in public without a sheet/blanket over their heads as adults do. They also have the right to eat their food from whatever container works best for them, whether that be a breast or a bottle. Kind of like how adults have the right to eat their beef stew from whatever container works best for them, whether that be a bowl or a plate...

Clarebear - I ended up buying this stroller! (I was MrsBrisby). I managed to find it on sale through Amazon.com for $899 US, but it could only be shipped within the US. We felt the savings ($350 off Canadian retail before tax) made it worth it.
Some of the features that sold me on it were the height adjustable seat, the narrowness of the frame, how lightweight it was (easier for me to get it in and out of the car), how easily is moves and turns, and it is well designed and looks pretty sweet. We also tried to make sure our larger purchases were products not made in China (the Stokke Xplory is made in Norway), so that was an important selling feature for us too.
I was PM'ing with the only other BBer that I know has this stroller (and has been using it happily for three years) and she had great information for me that I found really helpful. Let me look up her name so you can PM her if you'd like!
ETA: the BBer was Betka.

We moved my DH's TFSA into investments and it now earns between 5 and 8% interest.
To the OP, you should really move your TFSA into a higher interest product, whether it's with your bank or through an investment broker of some kind. There are lots of options out there that are high interest, but don't lock in your money and don't charge you to take it out at any time. I don't think your bank was trying to get you to cash out your TFSA, but rather to move your TFSA into a higher interest savings account.
