Omgosh, you are seriously adorable! I enjoyed each photo's play by play description.
Congratulations on your beautiful new home

I also had a suggestion for that big empty space beside your living room; what about like a library or putting in built-in bookshelves? Do you and the hubs collect books? Like a little mini library, and get a cozy chair to curl up with and read. Oh and a lamp too!
Something like this:

I love the way it adds function to that otherwise empty space, and its like its its own little self-contained room. The added rug for separation is a fabulous touch too.
Or maybe some shelving with wallpaper like this:

Or what about a photo wall, like this one:

Decorating is so fun!

Do you work in a shared office space? I'm thinking cubicles, or even some private offices. Question to you is do any of your coworkers randomly sing? My office seems to have a group of a few ladies who lik to sing their hearts out.
I pretty much ask now because my coworker is belting out some tunes in the language she speaks (and I'm terrible for forgetting what its called). I try not to giggle, BUT ITS HARD! Not at the language, but just how she sings.
Theres another woman in my office who adores singing Celine Dion tunes. How many times have I walked in in the morning to hear this little woman cry out "The Power of Love" on her way to her desk. Too amusing.
Any song birds in your office? If so, do you find it a) annoying, b) hilarious, c) awesome, d) dont really notice or care

Is she a clothes/shopping kind of gal? If so, what's the clothing storage situation like in her place? Perhaps she might benefit from the gift of a closet organizing system; with boxes for shoes, racks, shelving, laundy bin, nice wooden hangers etc.

monkeyup - Wow! $60 a month in Toronto?!?! You must have been eating out a lot too?
Well for just myself in Toronto, as a vegetarian, I spend around $35 per week on food and I eat out maybe twice a month. I'm trying to reduce spending at lunch time at work (Subway here and there, or a bagel in the morning). So I'd say around $150 for food per month.

I used to live like a 20 minute walk from the station. Its pretty great actually. I didn't find it to be as busy as Ajax or Pickering. That was about 6 years ago though.
In the summer its even better getting off there because its right beside the lake; so I used to take little walks beside on my way home.

Each time I've been, I've stayed in either hostels or cheaper hotels. However, if I could afford any place to stay (dreaming big here), it would be the
Trianon Palace Waldorf Astorial Hotel. Tres expensive! However, just look at the room pics and all. I would DIE!
Stepping back to an affordable reality, I agree with Dominicana; getting a flat/apartment to stay in is a FABULOUS option. I've had friends and family do this and rave about how great it was. Plus the convenience of having a kitchen so you dont have to eat out all the time is pretty fantastic.
Another thing you may want to consider is what neighbourhood you want to stay in. Do you want to be close to major tourist attractions (Louvre? Eiffel Tower? etc.)? Or close to gardens? Shopping? Offbeat, hip neighbourhoods?
My favourite french blogger, Haliegh loves this hotel in Le Marais:
Cardon de Beaumarchais. Here's her blog:

The show was rather under-whelming for me. Despite having seen a great number of the nominated films and performances, I watched the show and mainly shrugged and said "MEH".
However, highlights for me were:
- Michelle William's speech. Adorable and so touching.
- "Uggie" the Jack Russell Terrior from The Artist
Wait, and that might be it.

I don't like to think about it as "exercise", as to me that word is a chore associated with dieting.
I enjoy physical activities (like dancing, power walking) because it makes me feel good, fills me with energy and that makes me so happy.
If I'm thinking too much about it ("this is burning X amount of calories, or is my heart rate elevated?") then its just a chore & stress. Whereas if I'm not thinking about it and just having a good time, then its what matters to me. Physially, my body is more healthy and fit than its ever been, and I havent "exercised" in over a year.

Especially excited about the Buxom, amazoness! You had me at the minty vanilla with a hint of tingle. Are they avaialble at Sephora?
Today I wore Loreal Infallable Lipcolour in Always Apricot and am quite enjoying it.
My usual go-to colour I have been wearing for years (the only lipstick I'd wear) is Mac's Ladybug. I suppose you could call it my signature

Lately I've become a tad obsessed with lipstick. Pretty much all my life, if I ever used something on my lips, 9.5 times out of 10 it would be a lipgloss.
In the last year I've been starting to embrace lipstick on a larger scale where I hardly ever use lipgloss (other than a simply clear lip moisterizer like Burts Bees). The ratio has changed entirely.
Since this is a fairly new area for me, and I'm in the midst of trying to build a collection, I ask to you who wear lipstick regularly, what are you favourites? Bring on all the suggestions, from various price points, finishes, etc.
Also what are your go-to colours?

I'm truly enjoying each of these stories and experiences. Makes you realize that life changes in sometimes funny and unexpected ways. Life happens when you're making other plans, or so they say. Seems to be ringing true here.
If the me from 10 years ago could see me now; I think more than anything she would be impressed and proud of who I've become. Sure, goals or things I thought would happen for me by this age (I thought I'd be married by now) haven't exactly happened, but what has happened during these years have a been my own unique journey. I also think I'd be comforted to know that I'm ok and happy with where life has taken me.
