What was the best part of your day?
The best part of the day was right before I walked down the aisle my dad was very emotional. He is not the emotional type but we have always had that special father daughter bond. It was just a perfect moment for us before he gave me away. Then of course walking down the aisle and seeing Joe for the first time was just such a great moment.
What was the biggest let-down?
The videographer. We had hired someone and there was to be him and one of his employees filming our day. On the day of it was just the other employee that showed up. It turns out the employee was someone we had met from another company who we did not like. We just found he was very distracting and just not what we wanted. I hope the video turns out better then what i am expecting at this point.
What are you glad you spent the money on?
The decorator. She was amazing. The flowers and decor were better then I pictured and it took so much stress off of me. I was just so impressed with everything and everyone commented on it.
What do you wish you had not bothered with
I am not sure. I think I was happy with everything. I just wish I could go back and relive it all again. I think I just wish I didn't stress so much about the little things beforehand because on the day of you just don't notice it.
Anything surprising about your day?
I agree with you walkinthepark about the relaxed feeling. I wasn't nervous. Everything seemed to go smoothly. I think I stressed about time a few times but everything went great. It was my dream wedding. I never thought I would be able to get everything I ever wanted. It was perfect.

I think so. We have had a few last minute changes to the guest list on FH's side. So that sucks a bit because the seating chart is already to go. But oh well.
My family starts trickling in tomorrow so I am excited for it all to really begin. My last day of work is today so I will be so happy by the end of the day.
Except for the million jobs I have to do to get organized tonight I think we are in good shape.
I am so excited for the wedding. Last wedding of the Month!!!

It is so fun to listen to all your stories. I know every is in crunch mode right now but it just gets me more and more excited for the big day. I can't believe how fast it came. It feels like yesterday I just started planning. I had my second fitting on Friday. My dress is fairly bulky with the train and they needed to get rid of some material in order to properly do the bustle. I still get the bridal feeling

. Also I wish that all my clothes had a lace up corset because it makes me feel so much better about my body

.
I also had my bachelorette party on Saturday. It was a good time. A lot of my family came and we did a house party with games and then went to a pub for more drinks. It was a nice send off into marriage.
Now I have to finish party favours, slide show, name cards, wedding party gifts.... the list goes on. Don't know if a month will be enough time.
Good luck to all the brides who are getting married this coming weekend. I wish you a stress free week with lots of fun filled memories. You are the first of our group to get married. If you get time after the wedding and honeymoon be sure to post pics and let us know how it went

Hi Ladies,
Figured it has been a bit since I have visited. It is really getting down to the wire here. I don't know how you early September brides are doing with everything. I'm scared just knowing I am at the 45 day mark.
We have reached our end date for the replies to be back. We are missing replies from about 30 people right now and are only at 119 (we invited 179). I am hoping we get a few more yeses.
My parents came up on Sunday and we met with the venue for a final meeting, had hair and makeup trials and had a final meeting with the decorator. It was a very busy couple days but a lot of fun. It really ties everything together and makes it more real.
I have my bachelorette party in a week and a half and am very excited. I just found out my sister in law isn't going to be coming which is disappointing to me. I have been lucky with my side of the wedding party though. My FH side has had some that step up to the plate and others that are just showing up on the day which is also disappointing. Not everything can be perfect though.
I am very excited about the idea to get together after the weddings. It would be fun to actually meet the girls who have helped me get through the frustrating times and inspired me with ideas. I have loved this blog. It has been great talking with people who are going through the same things. So very excited to meet. I like the idea of skype date too with those who can't make it

I feel the blog has gotten notably more quiet. You ladies must be super busy with all the final plans.
I finally thought of an idea for parent gifts. I am thinking digital photo frames. They each gave us photos to make a slideshow and I could put them on the digital photo frame to give it the extra personal touch.
Hope everyone is good and that the freak outs are limited to one a day if not none at all

I am under two months!! Scary!!
This will be quick. I just wanted to share a picture of my place card with you ladies. I found a photo on etsy but it was way to expensive so I decided to try it on my own. Turns out my FI is great with a cutting board so I have elected him to help with ceremony programs and place cards.
The ceremony program is all going to have ivory paper for all of the pages and brown card stock as background (i have different coloured paper on this picture because I ran out of the ivory).
The place cards have brown cardstock and ivory paper on front. I am going to punch out different coloured leafs and use them as food identifiers ie. bronze leaf for beef, gold for chicken, red for veg etc.

Let me know what you think. I am so excited but have no idea when I will find the time to complete these. The programs took me like a half hour for one and I have about 80 to do. haha.
Hope everyones planning is going good

I like the makeup as well. I agree on the eyebrows. I think a soft pink or blush colour would look great on your lips. I go for my trials on August 13th and am now really excited after seeing yours. It looks like fun

I am officially stressed, scared, anxious and about a million other feelings. I keep going over everything and even though I see that I have a handle on things I keep feeling that I am forgetting stuff.
I had my community bridal shower this weekend. There was about 40 women there and I got spoiled. It was a lot of fun. Plus I found out more about who was able to come even though they haven't sent their reply back so that was good as well.
We invited about 179 and I think we are going to be between 140-150. Everyone is coming in from out of town and staying at the same hotel so everyone will be ready for a good time.
My brother who is a groomsman in the wedding is trying to plan a stag/bachelor party for my Fiance this weekend. I am a little stressed about that because fiance's brother who is best man is not helping at all. I just feel bad because my brother is doing everything and even though my fiance wants me to stay out of it and don't worry about it I can't because my parents keep asking me about it and bringing me into it because my brother is stressed over it because he's doing it all on his own. I know it will be fine but I can't wait until this weekend is over.
In other news I did get to have my first fitting on Saturday and I love the dress. I am so excited about it. I picked out a veil and tiara as well. I also brought my MOH with me and she tried on her bridesmaid dress as well. I love them. I am so happy with everything. We also went to moores last weekend and picked the colours for the guys. We got chocolate brown vest and tie for groomsmen and champagne for fiance. It will look great.
Speaking also of attire. My fiance's mom picked her dress and it is the same colour as my mom's. I know they will look completely different but I was still pretty upset. My mom thankfully is fine with it after I told her. I think she was a bit upset at first but is now over it realizing they will be different.
Oh wow. Didn't realize I had so much more news to share. Sorry ladies. I guess quite a bit has happened in the past couple weeks.

Well ladies I am officially able to join this thread now that I am under 3 months (even though it wasn't stopping from posting up until now ;)).
Meechie your hair looks great. I haven't even looked at what I want yet for hair. I'm planning to go in August. I want to wait until I get my veil and see about a tiara. Only 2 weeks until I get to try on my dress for my first fitting. I am so excited.
I hope the pastor comes back and agrees to including your son Meechie. I agree that this commitment involves him just as much. Hope it works out.
AFM: I finally found a style that I like for the programs. I decided on a multi layered template that I found on a wedding bees forum. I have been working on the formatting for a couple weeks now so I am excited to soon start printing. I just need to confirm readers and finalize layout of ceremony.
I got the pashminas in from Etsy and absolutely love them (thanks Meechie for the idea). I am so excited to give them to the girls.
We went to Moores to look at some swatches for tuxes. Ladies what do you think of black tuxes with chocolate brown vests and ties? Do you think it goes? I wasn't planning on doing that because I did think the colours would compliment but the girl at the store thought it would. We were thinking brown for groomsmen and champagne vest and tie for groom.

Daydreamer you seemed very stressed with addressing the labels. I didn't follow any rules for mine. I didn't do the Mr & Mrs thing.
John & Jane Doe
Sarah, Mike & Luke
1234 Blah Blah Lane...
I personally didn't like the Mr & Mrs. John Doe idea. I figure no one really knows that rules so you can basically do what looks good to you.
Lysh a community shower for my small town is where your family plans a large shower for everyone invited to your wedding to attend. In this case my 9 aunts will be planning in at our local church hall and they will invite everyone from my guest list. It's just a way to have everyone come to one instead of having three-four different ones. So both sides of family will be invited. Its a lot of fun. I've been to my fair share of them.
Is everyone doing invites for the rehearsal dinner? I always that was just through word of mouth. I didn't know I was supposed to send out invites.
WoodysGala I think it is just your preference for what you want to do for the registry cards. I didn't put them in mine but it was because I forgot about them. It's about 50/50 I would say. I don't think it looks tacky though.
AFM:
Today i had to go and add new items to my registry because half of it is now discontinued. I am a little disappointed because I really loved some of the stuff I had chosen.
We booked our hotel for Niagara Falls after the wedding. We are going to go away for our official honeymoon in March but I still need to get away for a few days and I love Niagara. I am very jealous Daydreamer as I have always wanted to go to Atlantis. It looks amazing.
My dress came in!!! I am so excited. Now I just have to wait until July 21st to try it on.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Daydreamer: Definitely no problem that you joined the thread as I'm behind you in wedding dates haha. I am so stuck on programs. I am thinking of getting card stock from Michaels but it is kind of expensive. I need it to go with my colours of brown and champagne. I was thinking Brown background and three different sizes of ivory paper on front with wedding details kind of attached together and you can just flip over if you know what I mean.
Meechie: Congrats on selling the house!! That is great. I am also jealous of your organizational skills. I think doing a calender now would overwhelm me.
AFM: Went to a wedding this weekend and had so much fun with my family. It just gets me so excited for mine. Also gave me a heads up on a few things with regards to my family lol. Other then that I am just enjoying getting the replies in for the wedding. I also took your idea Meechie on the pashminas and ordered one eggplant and 4 ivory ones. Can't wait for them to come in.

Thanks for the information on the tuxes. I will try some of those places. Maybe it was just the store that I went to that didn't have any swatches of colour.
Auntieli- I love your engagement photos. My favourite is the one of you two sitting on the train tracks kissing. So beautiful. We finally set a date to get our engagement photos done in mid July. It's a little later then I expected but my sister-in-law, who is a wedding photographer in Toronto, will get them done in good time.
Love both of your Houses Browntown & Meechie!! I hope Meechie that yours sells quickly.
I can't believe how many showers everyone is having. I am from a small town so it is traditional that we do one large community shower which will most likely be in August. My stagette is the end of August too. It feels so far away.
We have picked 'When you Say Nothing at all' by Allison Kraus for our first song. I am country all the way so a lot of my songs picked reflect that.
Nothing else is new on my end. I am going to a wedding on Saturday so maybe I will pick up some more ideas.:)

For those that have gotten their tuxes already did you get Freeman tuxes? And if so were you able to find a place that actually had samples of colours? Thanks for the information. Are you having your wedding just in the one room upstairs or did you rent the entire upper level? I guess we are little concerned about noise levels because even having the entire upper level there is no door shutting out the bottom level is there? And then if you only have the room upstairs then you have people looking in on you.

Hi. I have a friend that is getting married next year and she was looking at getting married at the Mill Street Brewery. Has anyone had or been to a wedding there? It feels like forever since I've been on here. And judging by the amount of posts it has been.
Welcome twosams!! I have a date buddy

!! Where are you getting married? How are you finding the planning process so far?
I feel behind when you girls are talking about engagement shoots and tux rentals. I haven't even thought that far ahead. I should probably get on the engagement photos. My SIL is doing them in Toronto since she is a wedding photographer there so I think she will have a pretty flexible schedule when it comes to us.
Daydreamer that is awesome about the dress. Cannot wait to see pictures.
Browntown I'm glad you are in your house now. It must be so exciting for you two with all the new things happening.
Meechie I love the Pashmina idea. I may just have to borrow that idea. I was trying to think of something different that wasn't just the jewelry.
AFM: I spent the last week addressing and putting together the invitations. Now all I have to do is mail them and they are off. I am so excited. I am ahead of schedule on this but I want to give everyone lots of time to book their plans since they are all out of town.
FI and I are looking for maple syrup jars for the favours and I am looking for where I can do personalized labels for the jars and candy apples.
I am also struggling with the song list for the church. I getting married at a Catholic church and have hired a wedding singer but I don't want the typical Catholic wedding songs. I want more modern and contemporary songs with words but I am not sure if my church will approve. I am going to put a CD together with some songs and send them to them and see if they will approve.
I hope everyone else is enjoying the long weekend and beautiful weather. FI and I are spending tomorrow planting vegetables and buying flowers. Fun Fun Fun

Thanks Meechie for the photobucket tip. After stressing out over the invitations I couldn't be happier with the result. I have my invitations and they are better then I could have ever expected. Nancy at Wedecor did an amazing job in only two weeks. Here are the results. (Note: my photography skills are not the best;).

Auntieli that is a hard decision to make because you don't want to cause friction between FI and friend. I like your idea about the numbers things and not having room. But I really don't have any suggestions. It is such a sticky situation. Hopefully the other girls will have some ideas. I am sure it will all work out fine in the end.
Meechie I am glad that everything is working out for you. The bus is a great idea. Saves guests from the parking dilemma, gives them a good time and uses time until cocktail hour. Exciting news about building house:) That is great.
Hope everyone else is doing good.

So I had my first wedding nightmare. It was very realistic and not fun at all. The venue was completely different then ours. A bunch of people that rsvp'd did not show up and no one knew what they were doing. Half the wedding party wasn't there, the linens and decor were not used and the flowers turned out to be ceramic pots with 4-5 long stemmed white roses sticking out of them. It was horrible. Oh and the food was take out chinese.
Obviously I am worried about something but I am not sure if it is people not showing up or the decor not being what it is supposed to be.
Other then that things are good. We got the proof for our invitations which look great. They will be ready for pick up next week.
For the rehearsal we were going to go with something low key. Everyone is out of town so it has to be at a restaurant. The hotel we got for the guests is right beside Lonestar which I thought would be fun and more laid back but I'm afraid that some of our guests will come the night before and eat at the lonestar and then want to sit with us which is fine but then we will feel like we have to pay for their meal too. Not trying to be cheap but I already have like 25 on our lists for the rehearsal dinner. So we opted for Robbie's Italian Restaurant. A bit more then we were wanting to spend but I think its perfect and my parents liked it so its a go.
How's everyone else doing? Anyone else hate that they woke up to snow this morning in Ottawa?

Your dress is beautiful Lysh. I love the detailing.
I am so jealous of you girls getting to try on your dresses. Mine is being ordered in Peterborough and they are closed on Sundays and Mondays (my only days off) so I can't get back until end of July to see it

. So sad.
Meechie I hope your appt went good at Lord Elgin and you are pleased with it. That sucks about the church not letting you use your DIY decor. I have never heard of that before.
Ahhh Budget!!! I don't want to open that book again. I think we were under budget on a few things but my recent splurge on invitations probably put me over. I think I also got a couple upgrades on things I don't need. haha. But this is a very special day and you should do it with no regrets. I think my mom is my biggest encourager. I will try to cut back and then she tells me I should get it. And who says no to their mom?;)
I am right there with you girls on losing weight. My original goal was 40 pounds and now I think I will be happy with 20. I just love food too much. I have been sick a lot this month so as soon as I recover I am getting right back on that bike.
Hope everyone is doing good. Anyone going to the wedding show this weekend? My work has a booth there so I will be working. I feel we're at the point where it probably won't benefit because most is booked. Have a good weekend girls!!

Thanks for the recommendations. I did contact wishtree and got their price list. I also contacted my decorator Nancy from Wedecor and remembered that she does invites so I decided to go with her because she is also doing my seating chart and table numbers so she can make everything match. We met with her today and she had done up a sample for us that was amazing. We made some changes to it so we could fit all of the information in and I am so happy with them. I get them in two weeks.
We had our marriage prep course yesterday which was better then I expected. The couple in charge of it did a really good job and made everyone feel very comfortable.
How is everyone else's planning coming?

Hey ladies! It`s been a while. I too have been reading online to everyone`s post. It`s fun to hear everyone`s ideas.
I haven`t had too much going on with wedding planning. I am definitely going with a veil. I had the idea of the veil before the dress. I always wanted a lace trimmed one. I am waiting for my dress to come in to get one though.
I had my first major wedding problem. At least I classify as major haha. About a month ago my cousin whose been engaged for two years finally set her date for middle of June which is exciting. However this past week I have been finalizing the printing on my invitations which I got from Michaels and what came in the mail but my same invitation for my cousins wedding. May not be a big deal for some people except that at least half our guests list are the same if not more. I am very upset by this. Not at her just at the situation. So now I am trying to get new invitations. All the boxed sets are either not my colour or not pretty so I am considering getting them professionally done even though that was not previously in my budget. I know some of you are doing them yourselves but for those that aren`t do you have any suggestions of where I should go in such a short time frame? I wanted to send them out end of May first of June.
This would be loads of help. Thanks

I am having my wedding at Lago in the downstairs room. The boats don`t actually block the view. The docks are to the side so the main view is not blocked off at all. They usually only have smaller boats so I wouldn`t worry of the some of the view being obstructed. I am very excited about the place I booked. I am having about 150 people and there is so much space to work with so I can add all the extra details I want.

The buffet is set up behind the head table in front of the windows. The buffets are large and there is not really any other place to put it do to the lay out of the room. If you did a round head tables then it wouldn`t affect you. I`m not sure how many you have in your wedding party.
I have seen couples put pipe and drape in front of the buffet but this affects the view. Weddings that have left it regular have not found it a problem though. The head is far enough up that there is plenty of room between the buffet and head table.
The link below shows a round head table used in the room and you can see the buffet set up in the back (sorry don` know how to attach pictures to this)

I love how creative you girls are. I'm still waiting for my stamp to come from modern art stamps so I can start on the candy bags for our candy bar

.
I have a wedding to go to this weekend so I will only be doing wedding stuff in my mind. I hope she has some good ideas that I might be able to borrow from her

.
I have done some registering these past couple of weeks. My FI is a chef so he took some interest in the kitchen area of the registries. Thank goodness because I hate to cook and have no idea what we need.
Do any of you girls have any ideas of what to get the parents for a gift? I am stumped in this area.

We got our invitations at Michaels. It`s the one area that I am trying to do on my own. Fingers crossed. And they were on sale so we got them for an amazing price.
We are doing our ceremony at 3pm with cocktails starting at 5pm. We are doing pictures after the ceremony so the bridal party won't be at the reception until just after 6pm.
Hope this helps

Thanks for all the well wishes. The doctors appt went better then expected. Turns out the original tests were wrong and my niece doesn't have tetraology of fallot. She does have a hole in her heart and is still getting quite a bit of fluid build up in her lungs but she doesn't need surgery in the immediate future which is a relief. She may never need surgery but it is still a possibility. They will just monitor her for now.
As for wedding stuff we did do the bridesmaids dresses.
http://www.billlevkoff.com/style/bridesmaid-dress/678 The colour for top and bottom will be a chocolate brown and it will be shortened to just above the knee instead of long.
I also got to try on my dress again and was very happy that I loved it just as much as the first time.

Meechie I love those syrup bottles. Where did you get them? We are doing maple syrup for half our guests and candy apples for the other half. We are looking at getting the jars and then getting one of the large maple syrup containers to fill them. It is so much cheaper that way.
I love the ring idea for your son too. It is so great that you are making him such a big part of your day.
I have been lucky so far that I haven`t had any wedding nightmares as of yet but I`m sure as I get closer things will pop up in my mind.
I am in Peterborough this week shopping for a dress for my mom and dresses for my bridesmaids. I go tomorrow with my girls which I am excited about. However it has been a little bit of a down week because my brother and sister in law who just had a baby girl a month ago have found out that she is having heart problems. We are pretty sure she has tetraology of fallot and will need surgery. They take her to sick kids in Toronto tomorrow for tests so we are all just praying that she gets better and that the doctors can help her. So other then the bridesmaids dresses which need to get ordered we are not doing too much wedding stuff at the moment.
Hope everyone is doing good and having fun with this nice weather we have been having lately.

I know at Lago on Dows Lake they do have a private room upstairs which usually requires a minimum spend but they also have a private dining room in the main restaurant that does not require any minimums. They also have a large amount of space in their main restaurant so you could have a group there in a sectioned off area with no fees as well.

Meechie- I agree with auntieli on earring number 4. Quick question for you. I am pretty sure you said that you have used heat embossing for a couple of your DIY projects. Where did you get the tools for this and can you tell me what I need for it? I am doing a candy bar and want to do white paper bags with a stamp with our names on it and was going to use heat embossing as well but can`t find where to get the tools for it. If you can let me know that would be great. Thanks

Auntieli: Typically you should send invites out 2 months in advance. If they are coming from out of town and therefore need to book hotel and such it is becoming more common to send out 3 months in advance. For my wedding which is end of September I am sending them out for middle of June due to the fact that all my guests are coming out of town. Hope this helps

It's so exciting to hear all your stories and ideas. I feel like I am really not doing anything this month and all you guys are being so creative and inventive.
This month I booked a wedding singer for the ceremony and am trying to finalize the hotel for my guests. Since they are all coming out of town I find the hotel a little stressful because I just want my guests to have the best since they are coming all this way. As well the hotel keeps getting my details mixed up so I just hope it turns out okay.
Went home last weekend and my mom brought out bags of invitations that she has kept over the years for me to look over for wording ideas. That's when I found my same invitation that I am sending out was sent out by friends of the family two years ago. Now I don't know if I should get new ones or stick with these ones. I really like these ones and got them for such a great deal but a lot of my guests were invited to this previous wedding and would have already seen this invitation. As a bride you just want everything to have your touch you know. So i am not sure what to do.
Up Next I have the bridesmaids dresses to find in March and then we have our marriage prep course in April. They actually changed it so it is only one day which I am thankful for so I don't have to keep taking time off work. I keep traveling back and forth to Peterborough for wedding or family obligations. I'll be excited once March is over (I know, sad since it is still February)so that I can hopefully take a break

TnT I do feel the same way you do. I booked a lot of my things early and then in January all of my to do lists and then some just came together so quickly that now I'm like what else can I do right now.
I'm going bridesmaid shopping in mid March. Might be cutting a bit close because I need to have them ordered by first of April but my Sister-in-law (who is a bridesmaid) just had a baby girl yesterday (YAH!!) and so I want to give her a bit of time before shoving her in a dress.
We are doing our own invitations but I am still struggling with the map and directions part of it because everyone is coming from out of town and so I have like a page of directions that I can't fit in the invitation.
Then there is the cake which I am having a hard time staying within budget. Cakes are a lot more then I was expecting. Any suggestions there girls on where to go??
Daydreamer I wouldn't worry about having enough cake for everyone. Not everyone is going to eat it. My wedding is between 150-170 and my cake will feed 80-100. Especially if you are planning to have a late night snack then don't worry about the cake. They will be munching on that or dancing too much to notice.
Meechie so sorry to hear about your friend. I went through that with my mom (thankfully she is still with me today) and it is such a tough road to go down. You really cherish everything around you. From the sounds of it your friend will be remembered not only by her loved ones but many people she helped with her fundraisers. I am sure they will keep doing those fundraisers and keep her memory alive.

Auntieli I have seen the fingerprint tree lots and it actually doesn't turn out messy. As long as you have wet napkins and a garbage pail it looks great. My job is working with events and weddings so I get a lot of ideas. Another one that I just recently saw was a couple had a cariacature done of them and then people did the thumb prints like conversation bubbles. It would be a nice keepsake for your place. Just a thought.

After going to 2 wedding shows already I decided to withdraw from the one this past weekend. Plus I think I am in pretty good shape.
I am jealous of you Meechie and your creativity. I wish I could do the decorating on my own and save the money but unfortunately I have no talent for that. We decided to go with a decorator for a few reasons: a) my venue only allows you to get in at certain time the day of and I am not decorating on my wedding day. b) I am not creative and c) my mom doesn't trust me and insists i get a decorator. My mom wins

.
Despite that I feel I have had a tremendously productive month. I have bought my dress, booked hair, makeup, flowers, decor, hotel for the guests, ceremony music and the limo. Now I just have to work on invitations which I am doing myself despite my lack of creativity. I just have to stop procrastinating and actually do it.
How is everyone else doing with their wedding plans? Anyone having trouble with the invitations?

I went to Davids Bridal and had everything picked out from the veil down to the shoes and then found something completely different at a another store. Totally not what I was picturing but I love it.
Here it is:
http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=A3456 Now if only I had her body I would be set

.
The heart theme sounds great. I am still struggling to think of favour ideas but to keep with the fall theme I was thinking candy apples and small jars of maple syrup.
My bridesmaids are all planning my bachelorette party together. I am having the same problem because my MOH loves clubs and plans to do that scene but I am just not that type. I would love just to have simple fun as well. I know with my sister in law's bachelorette she wanted to have everyone to a cottage and made sure everyone knew that is what she wanted and that is exactly what she got. Maybe pass some of your ideas of what you would like to all your bridal party and your other bridesmaids can tone the MOH down a bit. But then I am in the same boat and don't know what I am going to do :)Maybe take my own advice

Hey Daydreamer. Thanks for the welcome. I am not sure if you are getting married in Ottawa or not but we went with Troy St. Louis for photography. He was the most reasonably priced that we could find in Ottawa. If you see his pictures in person as well it has completely different photos then his website and still amazing. We are also going with Ron Cogan for Videographer. Budget wise we were totally blown away by the prices for these things. Never thought it would cost that much. But I am very happy with our decisions. Hope this might help

I love this forum!! I am so excited to have brides to converse with as well we are all getting married in the same month!!
I am getting married September 29th at Lago Bar Grill View. Our guest list is about 150 and everyone is coming out of town. There is just no nice venues in Peterborough and we both live in Ottawa so hopefully people will be okay with this.
My planning has been nice and smooth so far. I have photographer, videographer, DJ, church, venue, dress and decorator all done. We are going with Wedecor because they do the decorations and flowers (I over budgeted for flowers so I am so happy with them on their prices). I wish I was more creative like Meechie & Browntown

.
I have been in planning mode all January since I put most of it off. Does anyone have suggestions on Hair stylists and makeup?? I would prefer someone who could come to me. Also because all my bridesmaids are from Peterborough where prices are lot less I would prefer someone that is more cost effective. Any suggestions?
I am so excited about all your posts. Love your dresses girls. They are gorgeous. Keep the ideas coming.
