I would recommend joining online, I believe there is a cheap or free trial for a few months, which would be enough to get you set up and going with the new points plus system. Take a look in health & fitness, we have quite the thread going up there.

Marlene - Your night sounds like so much fun!! When are you planning to weight in?
Raynn- I also have a lot of trouble losing weight while breastfeeding. I was looking at my 'weights' from when I was dieting on WW while nursing Kyle. Once he started sleeping through the night, around 10 months for us, the weight started coming off. Before then, it was super duper slow. But I did manage to lose a lot of the 70 pounds (ugh!!) that I'd gained, it just took a long time to get going.
Congrats on the loss Ten and good luck at the WI Tan!
AFM - I took the advice of everyone on here, and started writing everything down. ANd sure enough, I was going over on my points. I've been on track since Thursday, so we'll see if its enough to see a loss this week. We head to DisneyWorld on Wednesday, so I'm sure this week will be a write off.

Hey girls,
I don't have time for any real SO's, but I've read all the messages, its easy to read on my phone but hard to post. And I'm so jealous, because everyone seems to be doing so well.
I needed to post my progress... which is none

I started on WW before christmas and did really well, but since I've come back I've been doing really badly. I'm up a pound this week

I have been doing lousy at tracking, but thought I was basicly staying in my points. ANd I'm starving!!!
Paige has been nursing like crazy since the fall (she broke her leg), so I'm sure that's playing a part, but man, this sucks!!

I agree with the tips Chiquita gave you. I've been pumping at work almost 5 months now. It sucks, but she has to eat something! I pump twice a day. I would strongly recommend getting a hands free pumping bra/bustier, so that you can read or do something while pumping. Its a lot of time to spend doing nothing.
I pump at 10:30 and 2:30. I put the bottles & parts in the fridge in between pumping sessions so I don't have to wash as thoroughly.
I pump in a converted bathroom stall, not ideal, but at least its exclusively for that purpose. I hated bringing it up to my boss, but he was cool with it.

I am trying to decide if my only possibility is to let Paige cry it out. I don't really agree with it (as in the 1.5 - 2 hours of crying), and I think she'd take a LONG time, we've tried it a little and she wound up crying more than an hour (for the first go-down of the night), and was gagging and spitting up (not quite vomiting). I'm ok with a little crying, but not like that. 20 minutes is probably my limit.
I am back at work, but I'm reaching a point where I can't think, so I'm afraid for my job. I'm afraid to drive, because i'm just THAT tired.
I can't co sleep, Kyle randomly (and stealthily) creeps in our bed in the middle of the night and I don't even know he's there... not to mention, my DH is adament against it since it took us 3 years to get Kyle out of our bed.
Here is what our nights have looked like for the past 2-3 weeks. I'd love some tips. I have always been able to put her down drowzy but awake until these last few weeks, even though she was up a few times, she never stayed up like she is now. I know some kids just sleep worse than others, Kyle was like that too.
7:30 breastfeed, rock a bit and put in her crib. She hangs out, plays a bit, dozes and then cries.
8:00 or so I pick her up, rock her a bit, back in the crib, she usually fusses a little and then goes to sleep
9:30 or so (usually 5 minutes after Kyle goes to bed ) She's up, I nurse her, and then try to put her back in the crib. She screams bloody murder. I try again, and again and again, finally getting her in there after about 40 minutes, she falls asleep (around 10:30)
12:00 she's up again. I feed her, try to put her back in the crib, she screams. I try and try and try, (pick her up calm her, back in her crib) after an hour, she goes to sleep. (around 1)
2:30 she's up again . I feed her, try to put her back in her crib. She screams. I try for about 10 minutes, but then I'm exhausted so I just put her on my pillow with me. She grabs my face, and goes to sleep. (around 2:45)
4:00 she's up again, and we do the same as 2:30, except straight into my bed, she's asleep after only being up 10-15 minutes.
5:30 we do it again
6:30 I'm up for the day
Anyone have any ideas? If you did Cry it out with your child, how long did they cry for? I HATE sleep problems!!
Thanks!
Kathryn

I'm in too. I'll likely be more of a lurker, my online time is restricted, but its time to lose the weight from KYle. I mostly followed WW while I was PG with Paige so thankfully I'm within 2 pounds of that weight. But I would like to lose 23 pounds. Sounds so huge, I really feel for you with bigger goals! I'm 5'9 and right now I weigh 173. I want to get to 150.

I agree, pumping is taking away my freedom. I'm back at work, so I have no choice, but i pump during the day. And it is HARD to find the time, and annoying to wash all the crap.
I wanted to comment on the napping. For the past 2 weeks Paige has been exclusively bottle fed during the day. My mom has been watching her, and trying to keep her to her original schedule. She has found the naps to be really hard, and that although her feeding follows a schedule her naps still do not. She's randomly napping anywhere from 45 min - 2 hours, at random times.

I went out last night, and had pumped a fair bit. I took about 12 oz and split it into three bottles and put them in the fridge right away. She ate one bottle, didn't touch the other two. The milk is in bottles, with nipples. Can I/Would you keep the milk (freeze it) or does it have to get tossed?? I guess I'm worried because the container isn't air tight?

These are great stories

My labor was fast (relatively) since I had Paige 2 hours after we got there.
My DH's favorite moment was when they said it was time for me to push. I REEEEAALLY wanted the epidural at that point, so I looked at the nurse and told her there was no f-ing way I was doing it without drugs. On my next contraction I promptly tried to close my legs and told them I was going home.. as if that would make a difference.
The only moment I had that everyone thought was funny in the room was shortly after Paige came out, I looked at the doctor and said "NOW can I have some drugs, please???" They all laughed. I said something along the lines of "Ibuprophen would be fine" and the nurses were dying laughing, saying they'd be asking for something a lot stronger than that!

Kyle was cruising around 7 months, and took his first steps around 9.5 months. Not to alarm you, but I have pictures of him with one of those backpack-harnesses at 11 months, becuase he was running away all the time! We used to get a lot of looks. I thought at the time it was because people thought I was mean, now I think people were just shocked at how quick he could move, he was TINY!

Yup, we stay home and get them caught up. Generally, anyway. Or we'll go out in the car, and stay in it. I'll take a book, they'll fall asleep and I'll drive around and eventually park and read. But I basicly make it my mission for a few days to get them caught up.
That said, when Kyle was the age of your LO, I didn't realize how big an issue it was, so he was overtired for a LONG time.

We let Kyle do it. He asks to every day. His friends don't ask much, but if they really want to, we get them to wash their hands, and then lay the baby on them. We have to stay super close because if they get bored of it they're likely to just push the baby off and get up. (Kyle especially likes to do that

Corgan, it sounds like you are blessed with 2 very good kids! Last night was a great night for us too, but we were still up at 11 and 3 for feeds.
I have a question for you mommies who are bottle feeding (either bm or form). How much does your child eat? Paige is almost 8 weeks, and we're going out on Saturday night, and I don't know how much BM I need to leave her. I have no idea what she eats in a bottle. We give her one often, but she rarely eats the whole thing, and it isn't often in complete substitution of a feed. I'll be out from about 5 pm -10 pm. I'll nurse her before I go, so I'm guessing she'll eat twice, max. Help!

For me, when Kyle started walking (10 months) they were a godsend. He desperately needed an outlet with kids approx his age/ size that wouldn't knock him over. We'll put Paige in them around that age too. 25 ml, isn't that like an ounce? That's REALLY good for a 1 week old. Are you exclusively pumping, or is that in addition to breastfeeding? Don't go by how much you can pump, jaundice is normal, losing weight in the beginning is normal.
At that age, Paige ate around the clock. You can really only tell if they're getting enough by the wet/poopy diapers they're putting out.
Paige is 7 weeks old, and still only takes about 2-3 oz a feed, if we skip a nursing session. She WILL take more, but that's all she needs to be satisfied.
