Luckily I can do my cardio at home. If I had to do the entire program at the gym right now I don't think I'd be able to complete it. When I did it the first time around I worked at GoodLife so I was already at the gym most days of the week. I just did my workout either before or after my shift. It was easy then when I had no other obligations :-)

I added those who I didn't already have on MFP.
I think I went too far off over Easter. I'm having a hard time getting back on track. I've decided that in addition to doing the C25K program, I'm going to follow the Body for Life weight training program. It's 6 days a week and looks like this:
Day 1: Upper Body
Day 2: Cardio
Day 3: Lower Body
Day 4: Cardio
Day 5: Upper Body
Day 6: Cardio
Day 7: Rest
I'm going to do Wednesdays as my rest day. Today is Day 1 so I'll be heading to the gym to do an upper body workout. It's pretty intense lifting too. I start out at one weight and do 12 reps, increase weight for 10 reps, increase weight for 8 reps, increase weight for 6 reps, drop weight for 12 reps, change exercise (same muscle) for 12 reps. Then I move on to next muscle. I've done it before and it produces great results.
I'm scared!

Congratulations to our amazing winners!
Thank you Ryann for organizing this round and the next round. Despite not winning, I am for sure a "winner" still. I have gained so much knowledge out of this challenge. It helped keep me on track long after I would have given up on my own. It was an amazing group and everyone was so supportive. I'm looking forward to the next round and dropping even more weight!

After the WBBL 4.0 I am down 16 lbs. I started my journey a week before the challenge actually started though and my total weight loss is just shy of 21 lbs. I have a long way to go, but I am very pleased with my progress so far.
I have been using MyFitnessPal to keep track of my calories. I started the C25K program as well. I got to the end of week 4 and stopped, but I have started again. I just finished week 2 and move on to week 3 Friday. I have also being using our stationary bike and some DVDs at home as well. During the next round I would like to incorporate more weights.
Here are my progress pictures:

I agree that not completing the first run doesn't mean you failed. The very first time I started, I had to do week 1 for two weeks until I could actually finish it. Just keep at it and the running part will get easier!

It's hard for me not to be hearing about it. As you can tell by my user name, I live in London where the trial is being held. In fact, I work very close to the courthouse and am in the legal field. Most everyone at work is talking about it. As well, I have a very small personal connection to the family.
We were there in during the entire thing from the searching for Tori, to her memorial service and now with the trial. I am following the Tweets from the courthouse and I had to stop reading early on during day two of this week. It had me in tears at work. I have tried to avoid the news and newspaper articles because they just go into all the same details.
It breaks my heart and I will be interested to see where the trial goes from here and what the jury members decide.

I don't have an Iphone so I downloaded podcasts (they are in MP3 format) that I have on my Blackberry. There is music and he tells you when to run and walk. The music isn't amazing, but it's something and it's very helpful to have someone tell you what to do next so that I don't have to watch the time. Here is where I got them from:

I was having the same issue when I first joined MFP (LondonMommy80). I now eat some of my exercise calories back, but not always. I try not to let my body get hungry. I always eat at least 1200 per day (MFP gives me 1390 before exercise).
Just play around a bit and see what works best for you. Everyone is different so I am not entirely sure there is a right answer.

I will allow myself "junk" so long as I count the calories on MFP and I try to be very careful of the number of times in a week I eat "junk".
This has been a decent week for me - except for the Bachelorette party I went to on Friday night...and drank a bit more than I had intended. However, right back at it this morning. I actually haven't really run too much this week. We got really busy and things go in the way so I'll start Week 4 again Tuesday.
Hope everyone else is doing well!

Thank you so much to everyone! What great advice everyone gave me. I never would have thought about doing 10" bottom and 6" top. That makes perfect sense though so I will do that.
I will do two of each and torte them.
The icing will be cream cheese icing and I'm going to keep it white just because she's doing a black and white colour scheme.
I'm so glad I asked for help from the awesome women of WB because I never would have thought of dowels. I've never done this before!
The only other thing I'm not sure about is how much cake batter to do if I am doing two 10" and two 6" rounds.

A friend of mine is getting married in two weeks. They are having a very small wedding (40 guests in total including them). I have offered to make a wedding cake (for the first time). I am going to do Bakerella's Red Velvet cake recipe. My inspiration for the cake is
THIS. I have tested the cake recipe and the technique for the decoration on the cake. Both are great.
The base will be 10" round and the second tier will be 8" round. According to the Wilton website that should be enough to feed everyone.
Now is where I need the help of WB. I have a couple of questions:
1. When I do the layers - do I bake two 10" cakes and two 8" cakes and layer them or do I just do one of each and cut them in the middle and layer that way?
2. Does anyone know if I can rent the pans from Bulk Barn? I know that I can rent special pans from there but can I rent round ones? Should I just buy the round cake pans?
3. How far in advance can I bake the cake? Can I make the cake this weekend and freeze it?
Thanks so much!
UPDATEThanks to everyone who provided some advice and/or tips. I decided on doing a 10" bottom and a 6" top. I baked the bottom and had no problems with them (except for a crack on the one layer which I was able to fix). I baked the 6" layers and then had a problem getting them out of the pans. I thought I would be able to save them, but that changed when I went to actually use them - they just fell apart. Friday morning I made the 6" layers again, but used a boxed mix. I iced the bottom tier and when I went to ice the 6" tier it feel apart as it was too moist and every time I tried to put my spatula to it with icing, the cake came up with the icing when I moved my spatula. I scrapped the 6" tier and just went with the bottom. Turns out it was more than enough cake anyway so it worked out just fine.
Everyone loved the cake and I am so happy with how it turned out. Here are the pictures from before I put the topper on and took it to the wedding.

When I started I was walking at 3 and running at 5 but since moving up the amount of time I run I have slowed that down so that I can complete the run. I don't care if I actually make it 5 k. Like Kelly said, I'll work on the speed after I've actually completed the program so that I have the stamina to actually do the full run.

I did Week 4 Day 1 yesterday. I was able to get through the first 3 minute run and the first 5 minute run with no problems. I decreased my speed on the run portions from previous weeks and I think that helped for sure. However, I had to stop during my second 3 minute run as I was getting very bad cramps in my left calf. It hurt for an hour or so after I had stopped running. I have a massage today so hopefully that will help and then I'm back on the treadmill tomorrow!

I am having a great week and am hoping for a decent loss. I have been eating back my workout calories so that my net is closer to what MFP suggests it should be. I have been checking my weight daily just to help keep me on track - and I think it's working. I wasn't eating enough before.
I really like having a green smoothie for breakfast. I make it the night before and give it a shake in the morning. It's filling and holds me over until it's time for my small morning snack.
I am finding that my body looks forward to my workouts and I don't skip them anymore. I always do my three runs during the week and usually get in two more workouts on top of that.

I'll share - only because I'm incredibly serious about my new journey and think it's important to be honest.
I am 5'5" and my goal weight is 150 lbs. I am currently 261 and have lost 15 lbs since January 4.
My goal weight is based on the BMI calculation. My frame is larger and I know that I will never be super skinny and/or weight 120 lbs. My first goal is to be under 200 lbs and then DH and I will start TTC #2. That's a very important goal for me and I'm looking forward to getting there.
I was 150 lbs in highschool and looked good (although didn't think so at time time) so I know that's a good weight for me.

I didn't have as large as a loss this week as I would have liked, but work was insane and I didn't get to the gym. However, I did make it to the gym Wednesday and did a workout at home Thursday. My parents are taking DD after her gymnastics class so DH and I are going to lunch and a movie - I hope to do a workout at some point in time Saturday though. I'm happy with my progress overall (I actually started before the challenge started) and look forward to dropping more pounds!
