Hey everyone. Remember me?

I'm going to paste this in a couple of threads in this section, so sorry if you're seeing it more than once!
I haven't been posting for a while now, but wanted to give you a heads up that I've decided to delete my account. There are a few reasons, but mostly I just don't feel I will use it any longer and don't want to leave all of my posts out there for the world to see.
I'm not sure when it will happen since I guess it is a bit of an ordeal for the admins. Hopefully it won't crash the system.

Thanks for all the support over the years. I have developed some real friendships here and I know many of us will be keeping in touch via FB, blogs or even IRL.
Good luck in your journeys!
** I think this thread will disappear if my account is deleted so I wanted to let you know, even though it appears to have died off recently. **

Hey girls, sorry for being so MIA. Things have been extremely busy and I have not been able to keep up. Something had to give, and this week it was WB. Hopefully I will be back regularly when/if things settle down.
I just *had* to pop in once I saw the news on WB.
CONGRATULATIONS SARAH!!!So happy for you!
I hope everyone else is doing good.

HI everyone else!!
AFM, lost a toenail over the weekend (sorry, gross) and it HURTS LIKE HELL. I can't wear shoes which means no running.

I hope it heals FAST. I feel like a sloth already. At least I have my bike, which I can ride in sandals, so I'll put in a good ride tonight. But I am BUMMED and I have 2 races this weekend. Eeeek!!!

Hi girls!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend!!
Mine was busy, busy but super fun. Friday night I stayed at my girlfriend's in the city b/c we had City Chase the next morning. We ended up eating too much junk food while strategizing. Oops!
We had an amazing time Saturday at City Chase, and finished 7th overall out of 650 teams, and first all-female team! It was pretty awesome!! We got to go on stage to collect our license plate plaques and $50 Running Room gift cards. It was an exhausting but really exciting day. Blog post will be up soon!
We were baaaaad and had poutine for dinner, telling ourselves we had earned it after the crazy day and having skipped lunch. I'm not proud of that but I sure enjoyed it.

Sunday morning I still had my long run and I was completely wiped start to finish, but managed to get it done.
Did some visiting with family yesterday and got to break in the new deck with our first guests.

There were burgers and wine involved... definitely not the greatest choices this weekend. I was all caught up in the excitement and seemed to forget about healthy eating. Oy.
On to a new week!!
Becky, OMG AWESOME! Congratulations!!!! Soooo happy for you!!!
Teacup, welcome back! Sounds like you made out VERY well. Way to go on no gain!
Sarah, good for you not overdoing it on Chinese. Hope you enjoyed the BBQ! Great weather for it yesterday.
Kel, sounds like you did great at the wedding. Glad you enjoyed yourself and that the girls were good!
Momma, try not to be so hard on yourself. I know it's frustrating when it comes off sooo slowly, but at least it is coming off.
Lyne, way to go on your run. A little rain won't hurt you.

Sorry, I know I didn't get everyone. HELLO to everyone else.

ohbaby - I am trying to lose a couple of lbs, although technically I am in "maintenance" mode. Mostly I just want to be healthy and eat a proper diet to fuel my running!
I use DailyMile.com to track my runs and all activity, and SparkPeople.com for food.
No confessions for yesterday!
B1: slice of bread with PB&J pre-run
B2: Raisin Bran w/ skim
S: apple, HB egg white
L: Subway: turkey on honey oat, mmmmm!
S: yogurt, grapes
D: not sure yet!
S: nothing planned
w/o: 7.5K run this morning with bootcamp exercises throughout - pushups, situps, squats, lunges, jacks, etc. - sprinklers were on at the local track so we ran through those too! so fun!
Tomorrow I'm competing in the Toronto City Chase and CAN'T WAIT!
have a great weekend!!!!!

Crazy, nothing like a last minute party at the house! Yikes! We have an annual Canada Day BBQ and I am already dreading all the house work/yard work I'll be doing next week. At least it counts as exercise.

PBC, congrats on the loss! Funny how you are noticing patterns with your losses and how many points you have eaten. Good luck at your get together tomorrow - good idea to bring veggies!!
MommyC, it took me forever once I had less than 10 lbs to go. So frustrating. Just hang in there and KEEP FIGHTING!

Si-Chic - Sorry that the scale is stuck for you, too. Keep up Shred! Great idea to take measurements.
Kel, my experience was similar in that I had already lost a bunch of weight when it happened but was still on the heavy side. Friggin' cashier asked when I'm due - YES that actually happens. Worst part is, I said "I'm not pregnant" and she goes "Really??" Umm, shove your foot in your mouth a little farther you little b*tch! I remember the moment vividly, as you can tell.

Jess, HANG IN THERE!
Lyne, sorry about the WI but good for you facing the scale. Time to lose that weight.
Mariposa, I would say that your lunch affected your WI more because of the extremely high sodium in Chinese (and most takeout/restaurant food) as opposed to just the points. Even a reasonable choice at most places is loaded with salt, which makes you retain water. Don't beat yourself up too much - you had a nice loss! Just don't eat out for at least a couple of meals before WI next time, if you can help it.
Camp, WELCOME!
***
Doing good here. Hoping it stops raining so I can ride my bike tonight! I will glady run in the rain, but not ride! At least not before I am comfortable on the bike and have broken it in a bit. Don't want it to get all dirty already.

WI for me in the morning!

Mariposa - The way you are feeling only confirms that WW is the right fit for you! Lap it up, girl! Good luck at WI! Sounds like you will be seeing a nice number!
Crazy - Have a good run! Way to rack up all those APs this week!
PBC - Good for you making a proper dinner even though you did not feel like it. It's easy to do serious damage on those days!! "Hmm, fast food sounds good..." Way to be strong.
I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to check the scale at home - a lot of people do it, actually. I go through phases where I will WI every day and I find it helps keep me on track. You just have to recognize that there will be fluctuations, and try not to let that make you crazy.

MPs, thanks for the fajita recipe! I'll give it a try - pretty sure we have most of that on hand, and I'm sure it has waaaaay less sodium (and other crap) than the store-bought stuff. Cheaper, too!
Teag, sounds like one crazy week! Congrats on the loss - 1 lb may not seem like much but you are on such a roll! Good luck in Paris!!
MommyC, drink lots of water over the next couple of days - that usually helps with AF bloat for me.
Kel, congrats on the loss! It's a good one. Keep doing what you're doing!
**
Had a good day yesterday... a co-worker gave me a fancy bride cookie from her shower over the weekend and I was sooo tempted to eat it but brought it home and put it in the freezer instead. Couldn't bring myself to throw it out. Yet.

My bike wasn't ready, but it will be tonight! Yay!
Was up for another 5am run this morning... it's so much cooler and later in the day I certainly don't regret having it done.

MPs - Good for you getting back to tracking - I hope you feel better soon! The last thing I want is fruits or veggies when I don't feel well.
Mariposa - So glad you are enjoying the program and getting healthy in a way that you KNOW you can maintain for life!
PBC - Good luck working towards that 25 lbs!! So close!
Kel - Have a good workotu at Step! Hmm, looking forward to findout out about this cake deal.

Jess - Congrats on getting an interview! Good luck!
muskn - Being in the BP would have made it VERY hard to stay OP last week. You know what you need to do now!
MommyC - you could have done worse than SC. New day today!
Si-Chic - 0.8 counts for something, congrats!! I have mixed feelings on Monday WI. It keeps me focused on the weekends, but I also want to enjoy myself a little more.
Mars - Hope you enjoyed yourself at the cottage! Back on track!!
Sarah - I think I would have died running at 10AM! (We finished at 10) But yeah, the sweat really starts pouring once you stop.

"Marlene, Call me stupid- but what the heck is a hybrid Bike???"
Oh sorry, it's sort of a cross between a road bike and a mountain bike. Light frame and medium-thickness tires, bars are low but not as low as a road bike.
Great job on all the tracking!!!
TTC, Jess, Momma, congrats on the losses.
Teag, I hope that scale is kinder for your official WI. No more peaking.

Kel, FX for a good number for you!

Had a good day here! Started with a long, hot and sunny run (28K) - I was beat!! Then we spent a few hours doing some more running around for backyard stuff. Stopped for lunch and shared a burger and sweet potato fries with hubs at Jack Astor's. Not the greatest, but at least we shared! And I definitely "earned" the calories with a 2h30m run this morning.
Relaxing on the deck now after more putting-together. Had homemade pizza for dinner and a glass of wine - OUTSIDE!
Here's our new set-up:
(It takes up more than two-third of our townhouse backyard, but we love it!!)

TTC - Good for you planning ahead for your trip!
Teag - Way to go on C25K!
Nice job with the tracking, everyone!
Mmm Ryvita, I love it with hummus or LC and cucumber/tomato slices. Perfect for a quick crunchy carby snack.

All is well here! I bought a new bike last night.

Mine broke last week (it was just a Canadian Tire junker) and I was going to have it repaired, but got carried away looking at the fancy new bikes at an actual bike shop. So, I ordered a new hybrid. I get it on Tuesday! So excited to have a REAL bike!
Today we went for a run then hit the farmer's market for some fruit, veggies, jam and muffins. It was a great way to start the morning.
Then we spent the day SHOPPING and bought all new furniture for our deck. We have a few more things to do tomorrow, and then I'll take some pics. I love it!!!!!!!
Long run in the morning...

I had a fun little workout today - a friend and I met and ran over to the track, where we decided to do some barefoot running! We had a fun night! Started with dinner on the patio at Joe Badali's - hubs and I shared an appetizer and an entree... foods were heavy but sharing helped. Also had a glass of wine. Jays lost but we had fun anyway. I grabbed a soft serve cone on the street after, which I probably didn't need but definitely enjoyed.

So it was a treat day BUT the important thing is I got RIGHT back on track today, instead of letting it throw off my whole weekend as I typically would. Went for a run this morning and stayed OP all day.
We are building a deck right now and took the guys to Harvey's for lunch - I had a veggie burger and salad while they all had cheeseburgers and fries/poutine. Felt good to make the right choice!
Just having a quiet evening in... up early for the long run, and then the guys will be finishing the deck.
ALSO my sister won tickets to Glee tomorrow night and she's taking me. Can't wait!!!

Kel, that's a lot of points! At least you had enough to cover it, and great job passing on the mud pie. I've had that thing before! Hope you had a nice evening.
TTC, I hope Olive Garden went well!!
Teag, forgetting to eat?? Imagine that! Good for you keeping up with the running. It WILL get easier!

Doing good here... we're headed to the Jays game with some friends tonight and having dinner in the city. We haven't decided where so I couldn't plan ahead, but I will make the healthiest choice I can!
Yesterday was completely OP and my summer marathon clinic started up so we had a run with the group. I was up at 5 for another run this morning!
Ahhh so happy it's the weekend!!! Have a good one!!!

Teag, good for you passing on the bread and awesome job on the exercise yesterday. You are killing it! Keep it going this week.
TTC, great idea using the DVD as motivation/reward for exercise! Glad your muscles are feeling better.
Becky, yikes to all the treats at training! At least you are off the hook... for now.

Teacup, thank you. That's so sweet!

Becky, sorry that the weather ruined your splash pad plans! Its been super muggy here today too. I also need new work clothes BADLY! Awesome on the double soccer game & compliment - that fact that you were ABLE to play back to back games shows what great shape you are in.

I did my leg/core routine after work then got groceries and prepped a bunch of fruit and veggies. I had two+ cloth grocery bags OVERFLOWING with produce. Love it. DH is working late so I am just catching up on Monday's Bachelorette. Glad I got my run in this morning!

Hey girls - sorry for being MIA again. It's been BUSY! Things are good... I finally forced myself to step on the scale on Monday and it was not pretty, but it was what I needed to get my motivation back! Doing good. Will WI Saturdays from here on out and hoping to lose a nice little chunk of it this week.
Running in the heat is killing me. It is exhausting. I've gotten out for a couple of 1 hour bike rides, which is new for me and a good way to mix it up.
Let's see if I can get caught up somewhat...
TTC - Glad you are feeling better with the injections, and good job on Shred!
Becky - I hope you start to feel back to normal soon. Running in this heat would be impossible if you are not feeling 100%. Great job on the long ride!
Teagan - WOWZERS congrats on the huge loss and getting soooo close to your lowest! Keep at 'er!!! So proud of you.

Sarah - Sounds like a good explanation for staying the same, and I think you had a pretty big loss last week too? Keep going!
Teacup - Glad you are loving zumba! Finishing so late would really mess with my routine, but sounds like it is worth it!
Kel - Sorry that weaning is wreaking havoc on you. I hope things settle down soon.
Sorry, I know I didn't get everyone. HI to everyone else!

Teag, ugh no a/c! I hope they get it fixed today. Great job on your run. Did you stick to salad for lunch??
Kel, DO IT! (C25K)

Sarah, congrats on signing up for the half!! Exciting! Good luck with your first 'official' long run. Did you find a training plan to use?
HELLO to everyone else!
