No No totally fine to post that you would rather be appreciated than have "perks" sometimes. I, however, don't get to make those decisions. Although this is something they are trying to push with management here also.
I am just trying to get ideas to improve quality of life (one of my objectives for this year as I am the event planner - slash a whole bunch of other things) I am happy to see our company already does a lot of what has been suggested.
Keep the ideas coming - or even perks you would like to see your company start doing!

Just need some ideas about what makes your company cool to work for? What attracts people to work there? I am trying to brainstorm some quality of life ideas that we can implement at my work place.
A few examples of what we do already - have a games room, bring in breakfast in the morning, have a subsided parking and bus pass program.
Any other ideas that would make your day easier or a nice break from work?

I have also stayed at the Sandals resort in Varadero, but it was when it first opened 7 or 8 years ago. It was great then, so I am sad to hear its gone down hill.

Another rough week around here, and I know no week is going to be a perfect week, I am just feeling discouraged. I have been fighting wicked headaches every night so haven't been getting out to go for walks with the dog.
My eating hasn't been horrible this week. My biggest win this weekend was not having a piece of birthday cake at a party my son went to this week. Small steps right :-s

I am not opposed to a cruise or AI. Perferably cheaper than more expensive. We would be looking to go Fall I would think, as he is alreay spending 2 weeks in Costa Rica with his Dad in the spring.

I am running a tent for a Gala which is the kids area. And this year we have decided on a candy buffet for treats for the kids. But they need something to put them in. So I need something small to medium size, but it cant look cheap (looking for more chinese take out or some kind of handled bag) and I really dont have time to be artsy with it as I am looking at roughly 200 + kids. So doing it myself not an option.

So my little guy is 4, and is completely potty trained during the day, but night is a different story. There are many mornings where he wakes up dry, but some morning not so much so I always have him in a huggies overnight pull up. I am not overly concerned that he needs to be trained now... but want to start doing things that will help him.
I have already cut liquids after 6:30 (he does get a small drink when he brushes his teeth), he pee's right before he gets into bed and I do HUGE praising in the morning when he does wake up dry. Small problem though - is he is with his ex-DH 2 evenings a week (gets home at 9) and no matter how much I ask to limit drinks I really have no idea if they do or not.
How did you train at night?

Thanks everyone!! After I wrote that post I have done a complete overhaul of my eating, which I think is a huge part of my problem. I decided to go back to Jenny Craig (at least until I can get my portions in check) Also its quick and easy for me to follow. And so far doing great on it. I almost find its to much food sometimes. But still eat everything I am supposed to be eating. It isn't something I can continue long term (finance wise) but I am hoping I can start making some preportioned meals and get myself on that. Although I have to say, the only thing I am craving is a grilled cheese sandwich. But its a huge change to not eat out all the time.
As for excercise its going to be a challenge. I was able to get in 3 30 mins walks last week. Unfortuantly workingout a lunch time doesn't work for me - but I have signed up for a spin class.
Hopefully this will work for me and I can stick with it. Thanks again for the suggestions!!

Sorry get ready for the pity post - but I stepped on the scale today (I have been avoiding it for the past few months) and I am over 200lbs. I havent ever weighed this much (unless you count being 9 months pregnant)
So I have to ask, how do you do it? When do you find time? I am a single Mom to an incredibly active 4 year old. I wake up exhausted and go to bed exhausted (and yes I know getting my butt moving would help with that) but I just find I have no time. And I laugh because I was reading the pininterest thread and the line "Someone busier than you is running" and I thought yeah so why cant I do it....
Gah, sorry more of a vent, but I so need to get my act together, I hate the way I look and feel and I dont want to be like that around DS. So suggestions?

To me that was just like saving money off the car (an expense every second time I take it in for service I don't have to pay for) I also got dealer costs through Car Costs Canada - it lets you know all the promotions on currently and then what dealer pays.

So he also drove me to take my rental car back. 2 hours later at the dealership I drove my new pretty car out of there!! (their internet was all down, so I left without doing my banking paperwork or my deposit....) But jeez they hit you hard with extra warranty and extra crap.

I have all my insurance set to go, but am I able to drive the car without having registration for it?? From everything I am readng I need to have my bill of sale and something from the dealership???
I am just nervous, I have never done this before and am currently renting a car (which I will have to take back before I pick up my new one) as my poor Jetta is in the shop and now wont get fixed - due to them wanting to do 7 hours worth of work on it..... I just dont want to be stuck without a car!!!
I am also in Alberta if that helps at all......
