Whoever made the decision at SJM to start linking member's posts to the CanFam Facebook page made a big mistake.
We get this is a public forum but maybe before linking personal topics to a Facebook page, ask the poster if they are ok with it????? I think to a community that is already fairly upset it would be an olive branch and a bit of decency to ask first.
Just a thought.
ETA: OH and deleting our comments off the FB page! Again, disgusting.

I agree that this is just getting silly. Renaming Misc. REALLY?!
Maybe everyone is still worked up about the forum change so things are being taken farther than they should be, but let's not make this into something more than it needs to be.

So upset right now and wishing I could take away the stress my husband is going through. He left his job last year to transfer to a different location within the company. He did this because his boss and another manager (a peer to my husband) were horrible to him and caused great depression in his everyday life
Well he transfered locations and was so happy for the last year. Fast forward to this last month, a couple things have happened at his job with the upper management so his old boss was brought over to help for a year or so. Then today my husband finds out that his old boss has suggested bringing over the manager that my husband worked with before.
I don't really know what to say to my husband.

He is so upset and stressed and the depression is setting back in again. This really feels like a sick joke. He worked so hard to get away from that toxic workplace and now it is all coming back to him. I wish I could make things better but I don't even know what to say.

I would probably mention it of you are fairly close to her.
Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't think a pub on St Pattys Day would be at all fun for an after wedding event. Unless she wants to be elbow to elbow with tons of really drunk strangers. Would a restaurant maybe be a good thing to suggest instead?

I definitely will buy from Birks in the future. My wedding and engagement right aren't from there but the jewellery store we bought them from treated us like gold until they got our payment and then we were nothing to them.
I needed my rings cleaned and resized after wearing them for awhile and Birks was amazing with their customer service when I went to them. I still go there for ring cleaning. Even though they know my rings weren't purchased at Birks they still treat me so well and do cleanings for free. It is small things like that that will make me pay the "overpriced" cost of Birks in the future.

But SJM never said "do you our members want to move to CF?"
It's not like we had the choice of whether to move, the forum was moving to CF and there are little tweaks to things to fit suggestions by the members after the fact.
Standing in the middle of the crowd screaming "But I don't wanna!!!!!" isn't going to make the forum change stop. It was never an option or discussion whether the move would happen or not.

I definitely am a quality over quantity person when it comes to clothes. My DH used to just buy whatever was on sale or cheap for clothes and slowly I have redone his wardrobe. I have now bought him quality clothes and he apparently does notice the difference.
Usually means I have to hang most of our clothes up to dry which is a pain but they last longer than cheaper items so I don't mind.

I am trying to get better with making my lunches for work but can't come up with good ideas. I have some dietary restrictions that make life a little harder with choices but thought I would look to the WB ladies for some lunch ideas.
It can be a cold or warm lunch as I have a microwave at work to use.
The restrictions I have are no rice, mushrooms, corn, peas, cabbage (or other fibrous vegetables), no beans (green, kidney, etc.) Hmmm I think that is it.
Please help me come up with ideas! Thank you

I just thought I would give a heads up about something that seems to be happening on Facebook today.
One person on my list has had their profile almost completely duplicated and the person added everyone on their friend list to the fake profile.
Also several people have been getting notifications of their account being signed in on different computers in different cities than they live.
Just a heads up to change your password or keep an eye on wierd things with your Facebook. Also I just found out you can go into your account settings and set it up that if any computer other than your own signs on you will get an email notification. (For the record, the people having problems on my list are people that don't know each other so it is something happening randomly)

Definitely some magazines. When I had surgery trashy magazines were the best. With pain meds I couldn't focus long enough or stay awake enough to read long articles or books.
Some other ideas might be soft fluffy socks, sudoku puzzle book, a soft pair of slippers or housecoat. I know fluffy socks and slippers made me so happy when I could finally get up and walk after surgery.
Also I am sure if you give the gift to he nurses station on the wing she is in they can deliver it.

I go through phases of straightening my hair all the time and am in one now so I have a few questions.
My hair will get little flyaways right on the hairline and I can't figure out how to make them lay flat, any suggestions? I have tried shine spray but it doesn't help and I hate having gorgeous straight hair but little hairs that stick up on end.
Also, do you let your hair dry naturally and then straighten it or do you blowdry it first with a round brush and then straighten?

I babysat a bit when I was in high school and would get about $6 an hour. If it was a last minute emergency though I got paid double. By that I mean the family I always babysat for needed to go to emerg one night and I grabbed my homework and went over do they paid me well if it was like that.
Normal was $6/hour though.

Amber I get your concerns but I think you need to take a deep breath and take a step back for a second. Give the new layout a chance.
Also as a probably childfree adult for the rest of my life, stop saying things like they don't care about us "freaks". For some reason being so dramatic about childfree people and the new forum is really not sitting well with me.
