Yes, it is possible. DS went from 3, to 2, to just one feed in the morning. We are still doing the cuddly one in the morning and I feel fine.
Gotta love those cuddly morning feeds. I'm going to miss that bonding time so much. I have no intention of giving up that last feed anytime soon.

Can reflux act up based on growth spurts? DS has never been diagnosed as having reflux, but I'm almost positive he suffers from silent reflux....
Can reflux act up based on growth spurts?
DS has never been diagnosed as having reflux, but I'm almost positive he suffers from silent reflux. The thing is, he was doing really well (almost seemed to have grown out of it) for a while, but a week or so ago, for about 2 weeks, he was fussing, arching, uncomfortable after eating to the point that I had to stand up with him for 30-45 minutes at a time. He just turned six months and I'm wondering if his stomach growing more could possibly have something to do with this.
I'm going to mention it to the dr. at our next appointment.

My DS just turned 11 weeks and I am noticing some symptoms in him that I think might be reflux. Usually once or twice a...
My DS just turned 11 weeks and I am noticing some symptoms in him that I think might be reflux.
Usually once or twice a day at least, DS experiences what I call a "freak out". He seems to go from 0 - 60 in intensity in mere seconds and screams his head off. He seems to be in pain and I feel totally helpless. All I can do is hold him on my shoulder, try to soothe him with words, walk around and wait for it to pass (usually about 20 - 30 minutes). It seems like these episodes come on after feedings - anywhere between 5 minutes - 2 hours. This cry is much different than his other bordom, hunger, clean diaper cries. These episodes generally seem to occur in the morning after we've just gotten up or in the evening before bed. During these episodes, I've noticed that he'll often experience a combination of these behaviours/symptoms:
Fusses during feedings (especially in the evening)- bobs off and on the breast, squeals but still seems like he wants to eat
If I sit him on my lap after a fussy feed, he will push off, stand up and arch his back
Prefers to be resting on my shoulder/walking when experiencing a screaming period
If he is sitting in his chair or lying down, he will start flailing his arms and legs (almost seems uncontrolable) while he fusses
Other recurring symptoms
Spits up and vomits on occasion - sometimes milk comes out his nose
hiccups every day
coughs off and on
rubs his nose with his hand as if it is itchy or irritated
has had the milk curds in his mouth (not the thrush kind that scrapes off)
has trouble napping during the day
has started drooling/bubbly
looks like he's chewing on something at times
sounds raspy/phlegmy a lot
A few nights ago, DS was nursing before bed and started fussing all-of-a-sudden. I stopped him from feeding and put him down on the bed. He was squirming all over and it really scared me quite a bit because he seemed to just be flailing around.
I saw a previous post that said if your baby can lie on his back at all, then that means it is not reflux. Really? He doesn't always like to be on his back, however, he can often lie on his back for short periods of time to play.
Advice is greatly appreciated.

My LO was born 5.5 weeks ago. I had the "typical" postpartum flow(heavy first few days postpartum, followed by increasingly lighter period-type bleeding until just spotting about 2 weeks ago). I had a period of about a week where I could get away with just wearing a panty liner. For the past 3 days or so, my flow has picked up again and yesterday was pretty heavy for a few hours. I never needed to change my pad more than once every 2.5 hours or so, but I was still a little concerned with the increase, especially considering I thought I had finished bleeding and b/c I am BF my son. Last night it slowed down and today has been slower as well, but I am just wondering what the heck is going on? It seems like I'm having a regular period. Is this just the end of my 6 week lochia or is this my period returning early? I haven't had any huge clots, fever, chills, etc., but I'm a bit paranoid about hemorraging.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?

AFM - AF showed up today and I am really sad. We've only been TTC this past month, but I still feel cheated. I'm starting to understand those people who feel bad when they hear about couples who end up pregnant on their first try. I know that the average is something like 3-6 months of trying, but with all the BD we've done this past month, I just feel like how could we NOT be pregnant?!! Does anyone else ever feel this way? I guess it's just all the misconceptions (no pun intended) that we are fed about pregnancy. I don't know...maybe I misjudged when I was supposed to ovulate.
At least there is Christmas wine to enjoy. The thought of enjoying some booze is about all that's keeping a smile on my face today.
End of pity party.

First month TTC and AF is set to arrive next Sunday. I might try to test a few days before that b/c I am anxious. To be honest, I am not very hopeful on our first try this past month. We have DTD pretty often this month during the time I think I would have ovulated, but I just don't "feel" like anything is different...if that makes sense?

Hmmm...all this discussion from MrsMat leads me to wonder...
Do we women and men act in these situations the way that we do b/c of our nature or b/c of our society/culture? For example: Feeling the need to satisfy our men all the time, taking charge of the Wedding arrangements, charting, temping and making sure we have sex at the right time, etc. ...anyway, just something interesting to think about.
The reality is, however, that not all women get crazy about TTC and not all men feel pressured about TTC. Personally, I know that there are lots of ladies on these boards that have said their men seem more gung-ho about TTC than they are.
I personally think that this hubby had SOME reason for doing what he did. He may be feeling pressured, he may have just been too tired, the moment might just have sprung up (no pun intended), or it might have been something more personal. Ultimately, I think that whenever a behaviour is bothersome to the other person in the relationship, then it becomes a problem that must be addressed. If you like to be the one taking charge of things, good for you. If hubby is the one who takes charge of certain matters, great! The point is that you both see eye to eye on the issue. Whatever the reasons may be for hubby watching the porno, I think it is something this hubby and wife should be discussing together...b/c it obviously bothered wife.
Bleh...what a friggin ramble that was! Sorry girls.
